I'd live to get my hands on those. I have not come across them at toy soldier, die cast or toy shows. I'll be looking for them. Thanks jkinzel.

 Yeah that asking price is a bit much, when they show up you can usually find them for less than that and of course the damn overseas postage doesn't help any either.

 I'll say you did, I missed that one and I've never seen a two tone paint job like that before either.Does it look like it was made that way or had it been re-painted by previous owner?

Looks like it came that way. The upper hull and turret are lighter green, hull's sides and bottom are the darker green. Another thing to note is the gun barrel seems to be a shade of green in between the other two shades. Maybe mine is a re-pro made after the originals? The strange thing about that idea is that I am accustomed to seeing an original make and then a re-pro in different companies offerings, and generally the plastic quality is less and the details less crisp on the re-pros, but everything about mine indicates original. Who knows maybe mine was the original prototype

I sent this thread to a contact I have in Poland who has some knowledge of the history of the Company who produced this and the PT-76, he might have some info on your tank but it usually takes a few days to hear from him.

:?: Did/could you ask Seller where he obtained it and if he knows any history on it?

I sent the seller a message asking for more info so I guess we'll see what they say.

I have been looking it over and the only markings I can find on it are on the bottom. It has a small raised "PS" above a raised "W", with all letters inside a raised circle about 1cm in diameter. I know the company that made these was called Spojnia, but I do not see that name anywhere on the tank.

I received an answer from the seller this morning:
Hi, I didn't notice the details you described but I do have a bit of history for you. This item was originally acquired by a friend when they lived in Poznan Poland in the late 70's. Where exactly he got it, whether new or lightly used I do not know for sure but he was with the state department and not the type of person to "modify" anything. so I am sure it was this way from when he got it. Hope you enjoy it. thanks again.
So it would appear this is an original Spojnia version. Now why is it a different color?

:? Tis a mystery, all the ones I have and seen in pictures other collectors have they are ALL the darker green colour, never seen any in that "brown" colour.I would think maybe you do have one of the first and the Company later went with just 1 colour to save money on the production.Thanx for info.
