Amazing Collection!

Post by Axis Nightmare » Sun Jun 14, 2015 2:43 pm

        Too bad they are piled in those cases like that. Can't imagine the number of hours put into those. That person must have used every waking minute doing nothing else.

What makes the P-51 Mustang so special?

Holy Crap

Pretty amazing 1/72 collection, and they look like they have been done quite well.

Lots of different aircraft as well, and probably the biggest WWI theme I have seen.

Seller is obviously out of space, and they do look a little sad all crammed together like that.

Too bad he will probably only get pennies on the dollar for all the time and effort put into this, as selling as one lot will definitely scare potential buyers.

Wish him luck though. :D

They should contact a museum, might make for some great dioramas.

He saved a little time by not running any rigging in the biplanes...

The post is back. He has a professional marketer taking care of it now complete with price and just a few close-up professional photos. Might be a family member. The quality is indeed very good.

There were definately 1000 plus in the original post. I had never seen so many quality models in one place. $15,000  is going to be tough to get.

Well, considering its $15 per plane and the quality is quite good from what can be seen - certainly better than die cast since you don't have those awful split lines where the pieces are joined - so on one level it's quite reasonable. However, that is a lot to swallow at one gulp.

Maybe if they sold them by era; you know, WWI/WWII/Jet Age 50's/Modern/etc.?
