21st PAK 40

Post by NHoggard12 » Tue Mar 17, 2015 11:11 am

I recently purchased the PAK 40 75mm anti-tank gun offered by 21st and was surprised to find that the gun is fixed in the recoil position! How did I not know this! I had seen pics of the gun not in recoil. Are there different versions?

Maybe it was glued in place accidentally? I thought they were supposed to be moveable.

Unfortunately CplClade, it is not movable. I did a write-up on how to rectify this a few years ago, back when webshots hosted all my pictures. I am sure with some searching you can find the thread on this forum, but I am afraid all those pictures disappeared when webshots decided to discontinue their free service.

Edit: Found a pic:

Basically what you do is slice the breach off and affix a piece underneath it to act as a guide horn that just sits in that groove.

Perfect. I just found the thread from 2011. I just assumed the PAK worked the same as the Marder IIIM, as in, the gun was in recoil for packaging but could be moved. I was wrong.
