Revell 1/72 Horten

Post by cnq » Sat Nov 08, 2014 7:55 am

Got this kit in bargain bin for good price. Just starting to work on it. I plan to have it in a small dio with fuel truck...

Just finished the camo and undercoat. Next will be the red & yellow stripe at tail section, then it's ready for a gloss coat...

Very nice CNQ!! Your attention to detail shows and I like the splinter camo scheme.
I'd like to see the diorama, I've been planning one.....just hasn't come together yet.
Always good to see your work!

Thanks normandy.
I'm currently working on the Opel fuel truck to setup a small dio for this plane. Will post some pics when done.

very nice normandy. My complete setup will be very simple with just the plane and fuel truck.
I do like the camo of the above 229.

Nice dio cnq. 8)

You built the Opel Blitz fuel truck?

I just bought the Hobby Master one that looks exactly like it in yellow tan. Very hard to find these days. Haven't opened it up but I doubt it has the hose hatch in the back like yours.

Cool you got a soldier and took the gun from his hands so he could pull that hose right?

Great job CNQ! The base looks very cool and realistic, not to mention the aircraft and vehicles.
Its interesting to see how close the Horten and Ta 183 are in size.

Your base / airfield looks as if it were ripped out of the Earth (with the sharp edges) and put on display, like it
was from another time or place.
Well done!

Thanks again normandy. The base is made out of pink insulation foam which is cheap and light in weight.
