I for one am enjoying immensely how Unimax puts a new sku number on a vehicle just for a packaging change thus making it appear they have nearly twice as many offerings as they actually do. Does anyone know if they at least change the extras that come in the box with each sku change? I want to be able to tell when I order online if I am getting the cat or the warped panzerfaust beforehand.

Sometimes I imagine they keep all the extras bits in a huge barrel and the workers just scoop out a handful and that's what goes in with each tank.

WOW! That's it? Really? Nothing at all new. I regrettably foresee the demise of FOV. Too reminiscent of 21st... Sad... Depressing...

Well I for one will be optimistic with what he said in an email in my other post about seeing some new pieces in October. I still need to pick some of these pieces up anyways. Like a t-34 and kv-1.

Sorry guys, I have tried to fight on our behalf on the phone and email. Roger seemed very optimistic about the future when I talked to him. I have faith, I will pray to the die cast Gods.

I maybe wrong, but I remember Fov usually let everyone know their new models in the fall.

Thanks for posting this Corey. 8)
Not much new going on with the armor, but I do see some desirable pieces. Mostly into the trucks though, but I haven't bought any 1:32 in a while. The packaging does need to be revamped for putting the vehicle back into it easily if that's what they're after.
I have been buying some 1:72 armor and FOV has figures with some pieces and figure packs I'm interested in unlike HM and Dragon with none, and a couple of pieces not offered by the other makers.

For 1:72 modern aircraft there's some exiting releases coming up.
If I wanted a nice jet I would buy a Hobby Master, but the V-22 Osprey and the CH-53E Super Stallion are unusual whirlybirds I'm interested in.
The CH-47 Chinook is a new one from FOV, but I already have a nice Corgi.

I wonder why they made the Bismarck 1:1000 and the rest 1:700? Is it really that big?
Surely the Yamato, Enterprise and Kittyhawk modern carriers are as big.

They started out doing 1/1000 ships and then went 1/700. I think they are trying to appease collectors of both scales.

COREY:

Thanks for the update.
I see weathering on some of the 1/32 armor......I assume FOV is recycling art from earlier versions of the same models and the 2014 versions won't have weathering.

The MV-22 Osprey is the only one I'm definitely going to buy. The USS KITTY HAWK and USS ARIZONA are a maybe.

Thanks for the FOV poster. I'm kinda done with FOV 1/32 and have gotten all the retired pieces last year. Their earlier releases were just so much better. Nevertheless, glad to see FOVv still releasiing. Kinda surprising that FOV decided to expand their "navy". Aparently people are really into ships looking at how much FOV are releasing them.

Oh yeah Heer. I thought just like you about the ships but they told me they are fast sellers. I think A_G states that in another post as well. I agree the early releases have so much to offer.

They have some nice pieces but 1) they haven't put money into the 1/32nd armor/vehicle line in a while and 2) their prices went sky high.

They have several chassis in the line that could be used to build from. That would save certain tooling costs.

I don't mind the lack of weathering as I thought they often overdid it. The M26 Pershing is an example, they cast in a huge amount of dings and damage into what would have been almost a brand new vehicle in WW2 and fresh from the depots for Korea.

I know that many on this board really go for the planes, but that doesn't do much for me, so it looks like FoV will get very little of my money this year.

So much potential, and it seems to be dwindling before our eyes...
