According to my local hobby shop, there are quite a few things in the works, such as the paratroopers, but it's China. Orders are now delayed indefinitely because of production woes. I just wish these companies would return to the US or Great Britain. My hobby shop told me it costs about a dime more to make the product here. Sounds like a no brainer to me.

It is probably a little more than a dime, but think of all the money and hassle you would be saving,
not to mention time and stress?
* TRAVELING TO CHINA
* COMMUNICATION BARRIER
* THE INDEFINITE TIME DELAYS?
* HONEST PRODUCTIVITY NUMBERS? (are they casting the requested amount or more than you know?)
* PLASTIC INSPECTION FEE?
* CARGO & DUTY FEES
* DO YOU REALLY OWN YOUR MOLD??

Remember the quality of all the first 1:32 CONTE figure sets?
Well they were all made at BRENARD MOLD in WINDSOR, ONTARIO, CANADA!
When I finally start my first figure sets, they will be created HERE in Canada.

I have come extremely close to launching "The PLASTIC GENERAL" twice in my life.
Within 5 years, I WILL!
The PLASTIC GENERAL 1:32 WWII
-----------------------------------
WAFFEN SS
GERMAN PARATROOPERS (Crete)
GERMAN INF. (in winter white camo.)
D-DAY CANADIAN INF. (in MK III helmets)
SIBERIAN WINTER ASSULT TROOPS (in white camo)
SOVIET ASSAULT ENGINEERS (in body armor)

Life long goal.

How many of these paras will have an FG42? The original photo looks like just one?

They just need to start making this stuff in MEXICO. Solve two problems at once that way.

Mexico is a great idea, never thought of that one.
Sadly none of the paratroopers are holding FG-42's.
None are wearing covers or netting on their helmets and only one guy has his jump smock open.
Besides all that, they are a fantastic complement to the old Airfix set and much better sculpted.

That's too bad. The Panzerschreck shows that they are later in the war, and therefore should definitely have a FG42 or two.

REVELL 1:32 sets with 10 poses.

AFRIKA KORPS
BRIT. 8th ARMY
GERMAN COMBAT ENGINEERS
BRIT. PARATROOPERS

These figures all derived from previously released 1:72 sets back in the mid 90's.
They have not been re-released since.

Where did you see photos of helmet covers?
I do see some evidence of one on the helmet of the panzerschreck guy.

The Plastic General stands corrected and is glad to be wrong.
The early clay master sculpts that I posted, had no helmet covers at the time.
I still wish that they would have included some FG-42's and some more open smocks.
Oh well.
Now, all they have to do is RELEASE THEM!

I just spoke to the owner of PEGASUS HOBBIES!
He has told me that the figures are to arrive from China THIS WEEK!
A few days later, they will be shipped out to all the toy soldier dealers.
The wait is over!

They landed at Toy Soldiers of San Diego, for one.
They tell me they received 300 boxes for starters.
10 figs. in 10 poses = $15
I ordered 3 boxes.

P G, I checked out TSSD and I like them. I will be purchasing them at the upcoming Toy Soldier show in a few weeks. Hopefully Pegasus will produce all of them. I always am pleased to see when our hobby keeps 'breathing.'

Seriously? You just click the Img icon and paste in the URL for the picture - which I assume you have uploaded to a image-storing site like Photobucket or similar.

Upload your pics to a hosting site like photobucket or picasa as mentioned above.

Click on "post a reply" not "quick reply"

click on the "Img" button above the reply box you type in.

paste the url address of the pic which you can get by copying (highlight then press the buttons "ctrl" and "c" at the same time. Then paste between the "[ img ] [ /img ]" boxes.

Looking forward to the cool pics!
