An Unusual Source For 1:72 Scale Armor Models
An Unusual Source For 1:72 Scale Armor Models
I discovered an Australian eBay vendor who sells ready-made armor models mostly in the 1:72nd and 1:76th scales. Of course, the models are plastic---hence light in the hand---but then again, so are Dragon's models. So I bought one, then another and
I just received my fourth---a German Leopard. The prices are reasonable ( about $35-40 per item, including shipping, and the guy, who calls himself tank-maker on eBay, is readily found by searching the web for the name, followed by eBay. If you don't see anything interesting at a particular time---right now there's nothing TM has that grabs me----it pays to visit every few weeks. You might pick up some nice and, not commonly available models. Like these, for instance:

So he's just selling off-the-shelf kits that he built and painted himself?
Re: An Unusual Source For 1:72 Scale Armor Models
That seems to be the case.
Re: An Unusual Source For 1:72 Scale Armor Models
Better write him and tell him to buy some Dragon kits, and start building knock-offs of all those early/rare versions of their prebuilt Dragon Armor line, and make some serious bank.

So far, I haven't seen any ready-made 1:32- 1:35th scale models listed on tank-maker's site.
Re: An Unusual Source For 1:72 Scale Armor Models
probably not from australia....he's probably from china. Chinese sellers often list on ebay australia because the fees are a bit less.
also, no way he could be making a profit on those if he is in australia. If you live in china, $40 is a whole lot of money though.

For some reason, my computer----it's probably me----can't post links today. However, if you go to eBay and input item number 360448427216, a Matilda being offered by tank-maker should pop up.
