picked up a couple at my local walmart today...not bad, not great. very similar to 21C 1/48 imo. at least it's something new though i am not a big fan of 1/48

That is the 21st century 1:48 scale mould!

I wonder if the aircraft pictured on the back will be in the same scale??

I think 1:48th scale would grow on collectors if in the future manufacturers focused on bombers...

These are the old 21st century Mustangs, just a new scheme in a new wrapper.

TKO said it was new company...BH toys and nothing to do with AllGo, did they get the old molds I guess??? But that explains it...

I just got off the phone with the owners of BH toys. Everyone is excited to see the planes on the shelves and so far it's been a strong opening weekend. There are more planes coming in 1:48 and larger scales in the future! The next 1:48 plane and scheme is being approved as we speak. By now everyone has noted the origins of the tooling. :) This is a new company and yes they are accessing some tooling from China as they launch. I'm told that once the initial orders have been fulfilled and once established into the plan-o-gram system, there will indeed be all new molds and new never-before-released aircraft.

Also remember, that if your Walmart does not carry them currently you can take the SKU number and request from a manager that they order some. The managers do have that ability and it's a next step to including it into that store location in the future. Good luck and happy hunting!

I had a suspicion on the P-51 that it was the old 1:48 21stC mold. However the rest on the back of the box would have to be new toolings as 21stC never released them in 1:48.
Unless they had the molds already made before they went belly up.

I'm not a 1:48 collector, so I'm looking forward to the larger scale. 1:32 would be cool (that's the next scale up in aircraft)
I did buy the 21stC Aleutian P-40E and a Kawasaki Tony however though, so maybe make an exception here. the price is cheap.

Went to two Walmarts today and didn't see them, but I'll keep checking. Maybe ask the manager with sku next time, thanks.

If you are in touch with the company, please pass along that they should take a hard look at smaller 1/144 aircraft as well.

I called several walmarts from atlanta to acworth to check on them- the assistance I got would not have impressed walmart execs at all if I was an undercover company caller, UNTIL I got in touch with the toy dept at an acworth location and the lady made perfect sense out of the item number (keep the first #8, and discard the #4 at the end)
she then proceeded to tell me they had not got any in yet, nor any store in her "block"- basically almost all of north ga. She also said I could order it online and have it delivered to my local store- very informative. I still like finding something in the aisle, so I'll just wait

Will do a recon of a few Wallyworlds in SE Michigan this weekend

I'm sorry TKO, I appreciate all you've done to inform us about this interesting new development but I had to  at that! My local WM "managers" are absolutely worthless. For about two months I repeatedly notified them of six repacked GI Joe figures where someone had opened the package, replaced the figure and accessories with a worthless early 90's figure and then used scotch tape to seal the bubble. These "managers" would feign interest but the repacked figures weren't removed until the recent reset. This store didn't even carry Joes until recently.

Sorry for my rant. I just feel the need to show how things really happen in the WM toy department, whether it's GI Joe or SW or diecast metal cars.

Did you find the tags for them on any shelves in your area? I couldn't find any for the Carrollton store, but I only looked around the Matchbox area since that was mentioned as their set space.

I was on a road trip this weekend and checked about a dozen WM from western PA to Raleigh, NC. Only one store had any on the shelves (one damaged box near Winston Salem). About half of the others had a tag on the shelf and the rest had no evidence of any.

Checked three WalMarts in the San Diego area yesterday, nothing. :-( I think the west cost loses out again.
