Well, good to see some life from them. I like the Opel Blitz and should pick up the Deuce-and-a-half. The Stug looks fantastic as well - nice to see a new release in a cammo scheme with the side skirts. Still, I just repainted a Stug in cammo with sideskirts and likely won't pick that up...

I must admit the Opel Blitz is my favourite of the line up.

Lets remember, FoV released just 2 1:32 models last year...

LOL. Well the stug repeint is just a repaint of a repaint, and the riding figures seem identical. The only difference is the paint scheme and the inclusion of side skirts. Jagdtiger and the truck was just released 2 years bsck. The opel blitz with 4 figures looks good, so I might purchase that. Sill looking forward to the panther. :D

By the way, does anybody know the "suggested retail price" of 1/32 FOV in the US?

What can they make that will be actually "new" and also be desirable to the majority of collectors? Any ideas? Remember though, it has to be something that would appeal to the majority and not just a few. There are pieces that each of us would like to see made but there might only be 8 of us in all. Can't be just a slight revision such as making a jeep with the spare mounted on the left side instead of the right side.

Perhaps a soviet js-2 or a sdkfz234/2 Puma.

How about the jeep with the rag top? Not all Allied jeeps were 'convertibles'. Or how about an armored jeep? Or how about the T34 with the smaller barrel?

How about the many different versions of the Dodge Command Car (Patton) Weapons Carriers, Troop Carriers we got from 21stC in 1:18, but nobody has made in 1:32 yet?
That and a M3 White scout car?

They could retool that GMC into an ambulance, scout car, or fuel truck too.
I like this version though with the open back.

An ambulance or fuel truck would be very nice!

The Opel is interesting, as the Duece is, I really like support vehicles and in 1/32 there isn't a lot of choices, I would like to see a Steryr RSO or as someone stated a command car, but it seems armor sells better.

Great to see FoV have some good new releases in 2012. :D

Granted, many repaints in there, but just good to see them release more than a couple of models in the year.

And the point has already been brought up about doing something "different". There is a reason these usual suspects sell, and a manufacturer has to be doing well before taking a chance on a different subject, which might not do well.

Didn't realize that FoV had done the JagdTiger. Might have to pick one of those up.

Being a GI fan I have often advocated that FoV needs to look at the M10 Gun Motor Carriage. With a basic vehicle they could produce three major turret variations (four if you include the British "Achilles"). The advantage of the M10 lies in the multiple repaint opportunities, such as US Army in Europe (multiple schemes), US Army in Italy, US Army in the Pacific, British in Europe, Polish in Europe, Free French, and even Russian. Given the variations on these themes Unimax could be repainting M10s for a long time! They already have the suspension and tracks, a new hull rear on their chassis pan and they have a good start.

Another FoV option would be to revise their extremely mediocre Sherman. Change the glacis and the profile of the transmission cover and they would have a late M4A3 75mm Wet Stowage - very common in the ETO and in the late Pacific campaigns with the Army and the USMC. After that revised hull sells for a while, they could change turrets to give us the 76mm version or the 105mm howitzer support tanks.

The above offer a number of repaints (important to a diecast maker's getting the most use out of the tooling) and they use SOME parts that are already in the Unimax line.

I also agree that the 3/4 ton series of Dodges would be GREAT to see. The front end is identical to the 6X6 version that they already made. I'll bet the ambulance (WC54) would sell like hotcakes! The Command Car (WC 56 and 57) would be next, then the weapons carrier (WC51 and 52).

If there's more american trucks to be made I'd like to see a Studebaker so we could see some Katyushya.

What's new tool about that old Blitz anyway, a few boards?
I'd like to see them do a bit less of the same stuff 21st Century already put out.
