Another cracked out eBay listing

I don't know where people come up with some of this stuff...

Look at the item information to see what I am talking about when I mean "cracked out". This seller is claiming that these items retail for way more than what they actually did, and even more than what you'd pay from them now that they are OOP.

Such misleading listings should be removed by eBay, but I doubt anything would happen if I brought it to their attention.

Strange for having "rare and oop" items, no pictures.
The description is all "no box" or "missing hatch". But yet the guy wants way above "mint" pricing.

I don't know, five vehicles plus several buildings and a big wad of figures (88 if I'm reading his count correctly, although there are several dupes and some missing heads) probably comes close to the $223 BIN, and you might just get a little more reselling the buildings as some of those have been doing pretty good on ebay lately, I've noticed.

I think it's definitely worth the $175 start to the right buyer, but I agree those "retail" prices are based on alcohol consumption and no actual market research.

Price estimates seem high, but overall opening bid price seems reasonable.
E-bay boils down to product and price for most folks. Sometimes you have to
cut thru the bull to get to the hard facts. If it is too out of line, you move on.
Still remember a Matchbox 1/72 P-38 listed as "extremely rare" sold for BIN
of $499.99. To some sellers I guess it is just like fishing, throw out some bait and hope you snag a keeper.
