Where to buy display cases?

Post by Philip » Thu Sep 29, 2005 7:12 pm

I have made 2 dioramas, using 1/144 tanks. I would like to put them in a display case. I have checked Diecast Direct. Does anyone know of other sources?

Have you tried Panzerplace on Ebay? He has a lot of 1/144 stuff...

This is where I got a display case (with mirrored back) for the Dragon 1/72 LCM diorama.

Use the links on the left to find the size you need. They also make custom sizes. A little expensive, but I was impressed with the one I received.

Try this link, a member on another forum uses these and they are great. He gets some more support rods added on the side between the rods that come with the unit. This divides the present shelves in half, top to bottom, this gives him twice the shelf space. They really look great and the price definitely is good.

As FOV pointed out, Ikea is an excellent source for showcases big and small. The prices are excellent, and they're packed in boxes (assembly required) very well. I've purchased 11 different types of display cases/cabinets over the past few years from them, and they're by far the best deal in town.

Todd
