With most of this years releases out now what would any of you guys like to see next.

For new vehicles i'd like to see in 1:32
1. a British Normandy Churchill.
2. a US Hellcat tank destroyer
3. a Ferdinand/ Elefant
4. a Jagdtiger
5. an sdkfz 222 armoured car
7. Some artillery pieces, both Axis and Allies.
8. an early Tiger I without zimmerit

For repaints i'd like to see a lot more Afrika Korps scheme tanks and vehicles. A DAK panzer IV would be great along with a DAK kubelwagen and halftrack. I really feel DAK stuff is overdue especially when we have Desert Rats with no one to fight!

Ooh, I like those too, put me down for voting them in for 1:72. Also, more of those accessories but without the figures.

Especially:

GRANT

Armor/Softskins/AVs:
- LAV (any variant if fine with me)
- AAVP7A1 with UGWS
- LeClerc
- Merkava
- T-80UD
- BMP (any variant)
- BTR 70/80 series vehicles

Aircraft (fixed and rotary winged):
- F-14A or B/D
- F-18C/E/F
- F-15E
- AV-8BII
- SU-34
- SU-27
- Mig-29
- Mi24 "Hind"
- KA-50 Hokum
- CH-46/47
- CH-53
- AH-1W
- OH-58D Kiowa

I'd be perfectly happy with anything from the list above.

-US M-18 or M-10 or M-36 all the same chassis as the Sherman
-British Cromwell or Achillies (same as us different gun)

Meskary,
I would like to see some British versions of the American armor, because they were used by Poles (the M-18 hadn't the same chassis as the Sherman; the Achilles was the British 17 pdr gun-equipped M-10  ). I enjoy the FoV produced the nice Grant, but I'm afraid the British Sherman should be the M4A2 (British Mk. III), not M4A3 (this is one of the US-versions)! I wanted the "British" Sherman Mk. Vs, including the Firefly, and the M4A1 76mm used by the Polish 1st Armoured Division too...

What ever happened to the 1:32 British Challenger II and Churchill tanks?

Meskary,

you are right. It is self-evident that the producers should economize. For example I think FoV will make the Lee (and maybe Priest and Sexton), shortly after Grant.

There is one problem with Shermans. Every version had a different hull, because of different engines. Well, only the cast hull of the M4A1 looked completely different, but the forms of the other versions were various too and these weren't only details. E. g. the M4A4 hull was about 5-8'' longer than the others and the distances between bogies were visibly longer, too. I don't add that the angles of the front plates and the differential and final drive housings were various and there were the "hybrid" hulls too.

The US Army used M4s, M4A1s, M4A3s (with various turrets and suspensions) and the British (and Polish) Army used mostly M4A2s (Mk. III) and M4A4s (Mk. V). So I suspect a mistake, when I see the "British M4A3". Generally the turrets of the British Shermans had armored boxes with radio sets. I don't see it on the FoV British Sherman photos...

So, it is impossible to produce an universal hull for all Shermans  .

The Polish Armed Forces used generally the British versions of the American weapons. So there were the Canadian Sextons, not the Priests. The exception were over 160 "American" M4A1 (76)Ws (Mk. IIa) in the service of the 1st Division since Autumn 1944 and individual tanks of the other versions in both Polish armored divisions.

Greetings from Poland :)

My suggestions for 1/32nd scale. I like US Stuff, but I tried to emphasize equiment with lots of repaint possibilities;

1) the M10 3" Gun Motor Carriage ("tank destroyer") - this is not only long overdue but offers LOTS of repaint and customizing possibilities. The early M10s came into use in North Africa with the US Army. They appeared with the US through Sicily, Italy, DDay and Northern Europe, Southern France, right on into Germany. They also served in limited numbers in the Pacific. M10s also went to the British forces (not all of them became Achilles), plus the Poles, the Free French, etc. Add these nationalities, plus camouflage, whitewash, etc. and FoV could be producing M10s for ten years!

2) the GMC CCKW 2 1/2-ton cargo truck. There are several opportunities for different truck beds and repaints on this truck. The CCKW has appeared in model and toy form in many scales, but not in "classic" 1/32nd

3) M7 105mm Howitzer Motor Carriage ("Priest"). Versions of this equipped all US Armored Divisions in WW2, the BRitish used some at ElAlamein and thereafter, the French had them, too. Also some M7s saw action in the recapture of the Phillipines and on Okinawa - again, one of the few vehicles that can be used in all theaters through WW2. I suggest an early M7. FoV already has a Grant chassis that the early Priests were built on, so there's a production savings right there. Again, LOTS of color scheme and repaint possibilities.

4) M4A3E8 - we have several people doing earlier, 75mm-gunned, Shermans in 1/32, but no late-war versions. This offers a little less repaint possibilities, except for the interesting schemes from Korea. At the least, FoV could take their M4A3 chassis and give us the M4A3 with later hull and 76mm gun turret. These appeared in the fall of 1944 in Europe and later in Italy.

5) US M48 Patton series. An M48A3 would be appropriate for VietNam, to accompany the 21C M113s. The same vehicle with a change to a 105mm gun barrel and a low commanders cupola coupld be done as an Israeli Patton, or a National Guard M48A5. FoV has already done the M60A1, so an M48 wouldn't be any trouble for them.

6) the M29 "Weasel" tracked cargo vehicle (original model). Not terribly common, but a cute little vehicle that fits nicely with infantry figures in a scene. There are a number of these in private collections today, so getting measurements will be no problem.

7) British Bren carrier.

All of the above would be suitable subjects for 1/72nd also.

I would like to see a German staff car,type-170V. Like the same version by "New Millenium Toys" which is 21st.Century's sister company, I think. Only in 1:32 of course. I agree with "Panzer Arm", "an M-10 is definitely long..... overdue".
