1/72 Dragon Armor Christmas specials

Post by paulmerton » Mon Nov 21, 2011 2:29 pm

Oh dear, oh dear... My girlfriend stole some of my Dragon Armor collection and attacked it with glitter glue to make some Christmas decorations to hang from the tree next month.

I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

Then I had a go myself...

Funny thing is, I actually have no idea! All I know is that the King Tiger is #60048 and the Tiger I has a metal turret with the mine throwers removed (probably #60098 "Tiki"?)

But yes, I think you're right there :) It looks like they could only be Dragon Armour 60010 and 60011.

What, no cheap ornaments available at Walmart ?? Pride of the fatherland indeed.

I display my collection at work so my wife and kids cannot get ahold of them.

I've always loved the tri-glitter camo on the panzers of General Santa Von Klaus's 25th Panzer Division 8)

T-34 crews were mesmerized by the brightly glittering camo giving the Panzers the opportunity to knock them out at their leisure!

They did get called nasty names by their fellow tankers though.

Dragon Armor 60042 gets the treatment next (King Tiger with Porsche* turret).

*a slightly misleading, albeit common description, as the turret was actually designed by Krupp to go on both prototypes of the King Tiger.

It's so pretty...

If someone did that to my models, there would be suffering. And lots of washing glitter down the drain.

Hey Rowsdower, how do you think Santa Claus vs. The Martians would differ if it was Von Klaus vs. The Martians?

Oh dear god, I forgot about that stinkburger! I will have to dig it out and watch it and the super-scary Mexican Santa Claus movie for the holidays.

Von Klaus would kick ass.
