Something new from FOV

I was at Target today and I came across something I hadn't seen before. $10 packs of 1:32 soldiers, which isn't really anything new, but these packs had fewer soldiers, but one "big" accessory per pack. One pack had a destroyed truck and the other a small shelter made of sticks/logs and 55 gal drums. The part that I thought was odd was that the soldiers are modern forces, while the accessories look to be more WWII. The remains of the truck would seem to date from the 1930's, and the shelter seemed Pacific theater. I found a pic of the soldiers with the truck:

It's not much, but hey, it's something.

Nice recon!

I may have to scout out my local target and see what's to be had!

I saw those months ago up here in Fresno! I do agree they are great accessories, though, especially that burned-out truck

Its practically a new FOV vehicle and works great in anything from a modern to especially a WWII diorama (since I think the truck may be some sort of German Opel). The modern soldiers aren't bad, either, with decent proportions and OK paintwork.

Anyone seen the one with the destroyed truck in their area. I have checked 3 targets and they have all of them but that one!

I'll try to go look this week. If they've got one (or more) you want it?

Ok PanzerArm, I picked up a set. Why don't you shoot me a PM and we'll take it from there.

There was another set there, but I only got the one, so if anyone else wanted one you'll have to let me know. I also completely forgot to look for the one with the 55 gallon drum shelter. Oops.

I mentioned in another thread something else new I noticed from FOV, and now I finally have the pics so I can post them.

What I found was a large box, like 1/18 tank sized, with many 1/32 modern soldiers in it, lots of accessories, and a 1/48(?) Blackhawk. It did have the small shelter thing that I mentioned in this thread, as well as a large modern highway barrier. The pics aren't great, but at least the one of the back of the box gives you an idea of it's contents.

I didn't get a price on this set, but I think I may go ahead and pick one up. I"ll let you know how it works out.

That's kind of cool. Reminds me of the diormam sets one gets with the Star Wars or GI Joe figures. In a way, its too bad the helicopter is underscale, but still, I like the idea. It seems Unimax is taking a cue from the Bin Laden raid with all those SEALS and the Blackhawk :P

Would love to see something done like that with the 1:18 tanks and figures

Yeah, it really seems like the accessories can go with other eras. The 55 gallon drum shelter thing really looks Pacific theater to me, or even Vietnam. The fence looks European so...
