New New Ray tank kits

Post by ketelone » Sat Apr 09, 2011 8:06 pm

I recently saw new New Ray kits. New Ray has had out kits where you can put together Shermans, Lees, US halftracks. These go for about $9-$12. I recently saw Tiger tank kits and T80's. The Tiger looks as if it could have been a 21st Century Tiger. Has anyone else seen these kits? They were going for $18.99.

Nope. Computer moron. If you go to 3000 Toys or DStratton.com they have pictures. I saw the Tiger and the King today. The King is the old NewRay King. It's a little small as compared to 21st or FOV. The Tiger on the other hand....
About a year or two NewRay offered a set containing 2 'remote' or motorized tanks. It wasn't available everywhere but it was discussed on this forum. I'm wondering if these are the armor.
I'm just happy to see any "new" product.

not all that good, but doubt anything cheap will be of the quality we got used to with 21c.

I saw motorized New Ray tanks at my local Hobbytown USA store. They had a 1:32 scale M1 Abrams and T-72 (or something that was supposed to be a T-72). Both looked pretty cheap compared, say, to their FOV counterparts. I've not seen the WWII tanks, but I imagine they are something like the New Ray tank kits, which aren't bad, but again, not the quality of the 21c or FOV vehicles.

I've thought that if I ever came across the WWII motorized tank kits that they might make good fodder for my pellet gun. I mean, it would be kind of fun to have the tank rolling along and take shots at it until I disabled/knocked it out
