It is pretty amazing that these planes were as inexpensive as they were at WM. $19.95 for 1/32, and $39.95 for the 1/18. It is apparent that we won't see those prices again. But it does make it hard to pay double for the same models.
All you have to do is look at the prices for 1/32 kit models to know we got a good deal back in the day. Time will tell if this strategy works out for AllGo. I for one hope it does. It would be great if we could pull in some new collectors with these new releases. In the meantime dust off your old planes and enjoy!

I think they might have started creeping up in price right before WM decided to cut and run. IIRC some of the last releases were $19.99 at my local WMs.

I remember aircraft at prices of 19.95 and the armor at 14.95.

Wow.. I was expecting new packaging, but I guess if it aint broke, don't fix it huh?
These do look good, just like their predecessors, so it looks like I will have to pick a few up.
Thanks again AG!!

Makes me wonder if these are new production or excess warehouse stock that never shipped?

I would say that most likely, this is the same factory that produced these in the first place and still had a bunch of boxes that could be re-used.

Thanks for posting the pics :D

Funny to see them in the same boxes, especially as the planes now cost twice as much. Makes me want to wait for new paint schemes even more now... The models do look flawless, however. My 21c Shangri La P-51 has just the slightest bit of yellow overspray from when the noseart was applied and the AG plane doesn't have it. Nice.

Can't believe the no-pilots deal. Sort of goes against what was always a 21c mainstay, but probably had something to do with factories and toolings and who had what.

Guess the lack of pilots deal will be the distinguishing feature between the new AllGo and old 21c aircraft - and will keep my versions of the same 21c planes in the same boxes just a tad bit more collectable than they now otherwise would have been

Kind of surprised to see the 21C box, and even the 21C logo on this AllGo release.

Not sure if these are extra boxes left over, and if so, it would make sense to use them, from a strictly financial perspective.

I would hope that future releases have the Allgo logo on them, but doesn't really bother me either way, as we all know what these actually are.

Prefer if the model came with the pilot figure though, as it adds to the model, particularly when displayed in flight. Not a deal breaker though.

Glad to finally actually see an AllGo product. :D

Surprised, but thinking about it why not? Less costs all the way around. As was said it does make you wonder if it's old stock, but then there would probably be a pilot if that were the case no?

A sort of reaffirmation that they do own the rights to 21stC.

Seein's as there's no pilot I'm guessing that there will be no extra opened canopy included the Shangri La came with originally.

>>> The "AllGo" re-release includes the (open canopy) option. That's the first thing I noticed when searching for the pilot. There's a separate little baggy taped inside through a little window on the bottom of the base w/ these accessories.

I went ahead and picked up both of these from the mule because the actual product pics from them shows pilots included so I guess we shall see.

My fear is that these planes are old production. Left over aircraft and left over boxes. Terrible marketing decision to use the old box. The original production run on these planes was 5000 each. These two were a little hard to find so that it is very possible they had a 1000 or more of each left. At the very least this company must produce a new paint scheme and a new box to convince me they are a viable enterprise. I have both of these, but would have purchased them if they had at least a new box.

I don't believe this is the case.. If it were, I would think there would be pilots included as they were in the original release. Also, the Mustang was htf, but the 190A was everywhere. I think I bought 5 or 6 of this exact plane when they were on clearance.
I do believe that Algo used the same factory that they used under 21st Century and that this particular factory had been producing these in the past, so it would not take anything to get it restarted again. The use of the old 21st boxes is probably due to cost constraints in that producing new artwork for packaging can sometimes be as much as preoducing a new model. I am betting the owner of 21st is probably paying for this out of his pocket so he is saving as much money as he can.
Once the line gets up to full steam again, I bet that we will see new or revamped packaging but cashflow is probably priority at this point.

Here's the description from Flying Mule. Unfortunately, it doesn't list the pilot...

Algo "Ultimate Soldier 32X" display airplanes feature:

-Molded plastic construction.
-Realistic panel lines, antennas, access panels and surface details.
-Pad printed markings and placards that won't fade or peel like decals.
-Opening canopies, revealing detailed cockpit interiors.
-Functional extending/retracting landing gear.
-Authentic detachable ordnance loads complete with placards.

I ordered my P-51 from AG. It should arrive by Tuesday.

And this may be the case, but the pictures posted show pilots so I just had to know. I was going to buy these anyway and the mule gave me the same deal as AG so I couldn't pass up a the deal, plus satisfying my curiosity at the same time.
