So, what you guys are saying is that there still is no US distributor or retailer for the Altaya line?

Those guys must have something against making profits.

Thanks for the amendments to my list. I think that the Isherman might already be out in Portugal.

The Portuguese list of 60 models has some small deviation from yours, but that is normal since the collection change from country to country. Only the last 5 are not identified but I do hope one of them is an M5A1.

Altaya collectors might like to check this site, part of the Polish part-work puiblisher Amercom giving details of their AFV series.

http://www.amercom.com.pl/strony.php?kod=kwba

As you will see some of the range are the same models as already produced by Altaya, but often in different camo schemes. But they also do a number NOT YET covered by Altaya - HUMVEE, Achilles, Firefly HIMARS, DIngo and MLRS to name some. Some of these can be found on Ebay. I have the S-tank.

However, note that the packaging is not as good as Altaya. The models do not come in a hard plastic box - all you get is the base and the model.

Any chance the M551 Sheridan will be released in the US?

Those companies are not rereleasing the same vehicles that were out under the Altaya brand.

Altaya Matilda is NOT equal to warmaster CDL.

Winter camo warmaster Stalin looks crap compared to Altaya Battle of Berlin stalin.

And who knows when, or if, these brands will ever get to the 60 or whatever vehicles Altaya released.

PANZER_M:

Thanks a lot for the information.
A couple of years ago, I suggested a 1/72 Sheridan to Hobby Master, but apparently they weren't interested.

not impressed with the 203mm Oob, the camo is strange..not as horrid as the Isu-152, but i would have like an elevated or elevating gun vs one in fixed position.

although right now I have the Americom Lancia Lince, Atlaya Opel blitz w/2cm FlaK, M20 Armoured car 10.5cm Ie.FH18(Sfl) 39-H inbound

One more BIG update:

The mantlet position is to high making the whole turret a bit weird

This model has a attachment piece under the hull and therefore the wheels do not touch the ground

Again the quality is good. The SU 152 will end up as Egyptian, the 203mm how is for sale.

I'm a bit disappointed with the last 10 models from this collection (List valid valid for Portugal):
51 : B1 Centauro (IFOR) Bosnia
52 : Char B 1bis
53 : Challenger 2 (Green cammo)
54 : M7 105 mm HMC "Priest" US Army
55 : Panzerhaubitze 2000
56 : M-10 Tank Destroyer (White cammo Ardernas)
57 : Spähpanzer 2 Luchs A1 IFOR (Bosnia)
58 : M3 Lee US Army
59 : T-62 U (Red Army)
60 : M551 Sheridan (arena? Sand colour?)

All these were already listed. They just have a new paint job. No Stuart

The Isreali Jumbo sherman looks interesting. I alwyas liked their modifications on US supplied shermans. Th sWs with a flak gun looks good as well. I still have to look for that nerbelwerfer released by altaya a few months ago as well.

The M51 Sherman and the sWS I will keep for myself, but if you can't find them on Ebay PM me and I will try to get them. Altaya in Portugal keeps the models on stock for one year after the issue date.

This month models:

M3 Lee British:

Some gaps between parts otherwise very good. And it seems that the collection will have the US version later on.

Chevrolet 1533x2 30 CWT + Breda Model 35 20 mm AA Gun

This also seems a good model. All Altaya latest models are pretty good. Next month is the T62 and Duster. There are photos around and they are also pretty good.

I paid a small fortune for a collector to build me a custom 1/35 M551 Sheridan, so I'll pass on the 1/72 Sheridan---it looks pretty frumpy to me.

Quality still is good/very good. Like a lot this two models. Really pitty that they dumped the M18. I was looking forward to that one. Well I will still get the M36!!! and the AMX-13 in IDF colours
