Anyone ever deal with the 1/24 sherman?

Post by NHoggard12 » Wed Jan 12, 2011 5:57 pm

Franklin Mint has the 1/24 sherman out. Well, they have been out for a while.
I think they look nice, but maybe someone has some insight.

Are there any 1/24 figures or accessories?

Tamiya did make some figure kits in metal amd some plastic in 1/25th scale. German and American mostly. Here are a couple of Germans on ebay.

One upon a time I think Finescale Modeler magazine had n article on doing this up in better detail.

BIG problem - Franklin put the wrong commanders' cupola on this one. They put on the early type with a rotating gun ring instead of the vision block cupola. I'm enopgh of a Sherman purist that I won't pay them $100.00 or more for this kind of screw up. Otherwise it looks like a nice rendition of a Korean War vintage M4A3E8.

I am glad you brought it up; I thought the cupola didn't match.
