1/32 scale B-25 Mitchell test shots

Post by Yoxford » Tue Nov 30, 2010 12:21 pm

Here's some of the latest WingScale B-25 Mitchell test shots:
http://store.spruebrothers.com/articles ... leB-25.htm
B-25 Mitchells feature:
-Separate flight controls
-Detailed cockpit, top turret, bomb bay and landing gear
-Photo etched parts
-White metal landing gear
-Three markings options for each version
-Full color reference manual
-Poster of box art
-Certificate with production number
-Official licensed by Boeing
The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.

The B-25 would be great in 1/32, but I don't see one being done in diecast. Good news for good modelers though.

Might be able to get it on sale at slightly below that, but isn't it going to be in a limited "numbered" quantity?

I have a feeling this model is going to be very popular once it hits. For one thing it'll be as big as a 1:48 four engine bomber which is huge already.

When I look at a 1:32 single engine fighter which is big ( well not like 1:18 but...) and imagine a same scale B-25 next to it it's really going to be awesome.

I think each of the three versions it limited to 2500 which have been available for pre order for about 2 months now. I know people on the modeling forums are super pumped about it and many have pre ordered 2 or 3. Must be nice!

Yeah ditto on that. Been selling off all my 1/6 stuff just to make the mortgage. Still want one though. Maybe sell an extra 1:18 plane or some armor. Not as much of an armor fan as a plane fan anyways.

Seems to me that's an awfully low number of planes to make. Is it the particular schemes that are limited only? Maybe they'll produce more with different decals?
It is a good marketing tool to sell your planes though. Put a limited number out and people will scramble trying to get them knowing they'll run out.

A 1:32 Micthell bomber in whatever scheme is a must have though...arrg!

That is sweet. I haven't made any models in more years than I can remember and I couldn't do justice to this, but it would be cool to have one.

The 'pre-sell limited editions' idea was something many of us suggested to 21st and Admiral. Sell the models as exclusives with a down payment or even full payment and use the money to help fund development.
