Corgi 1/32 "Doe" Spitfire

Post by snake » Sat Aug 21, 2010 7:55 pm

I got mine delivered yesterday. :D

A very nice scheme, flown by a great pilot. He just recently passed away, but know that he knew about this release.

An old mold, that does have a couple of minor issues.Aileron fit is not perfect.

But it is a new release of a Corgi 1/32 Spitfire. 8)

Limited to 1000 units, and now sold out at the Mule.

That was quick!

Mine is on order, I think coupled with a pre-order which will slow it down. The Mule gets things to me faster than anyone.

Mine showed up Friday...outstanding model...great pilot, history, and very limited.
The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.

Nice score Snake!

You must be really pleased to finally have it on hand :D

How's the dihedral on this? I have not been diligent enough to see any conclusive pics on this yet.

It is basically the old Corgi mold, with a nice new scheme.

So it could do with some more dihedral on the wings, but it would have to be viewed from a direct head on shot to notice.

The mold is showing its age, but I am happy to have got this brand new Corgi 1/32 Spitfire. :D
