Good looking figs, from what I can see in the picture. They will go very nicely with my 32x Afrika Corps Panzer III, British Troops & FOV Matilda, if and when they ever show up!

They were shown at Toy Fair - you can see the pics at Area 21. They were packaged then so it took a while but then again what didn't :?
Nice variety though and with new British M3 Grant they are very welcome. :D

Any one else notice?

Post by PanzerArm » Thu Jul 14, 2005 8:41 pm

Did anyone else notice that the preceeding series 4 troops gave us a clue that these were coming. I figured it out when the series 3 troops came with that solitary fallschirmjager, and then the next series was the rest of his crew, plus one lonesome Afrika Korp soldier...

Of all the things I regret getting rid of, it's the the friggin troops, I'm feeling their loss most of all, as alot of them(series one and two) I can't get a hold of anymore  .

Hmmm, I didn't notice an Afrika Korp trooper in series 4. I thought that that guy (w/white jacket?) was their leader.

I haven't seen those AK figs since that auction. Didn't see the Brits on E-bay either.

Has anyone noticed that none of the on line vendors have had the KT or the JT? I wonder why. I've got two of each but still check BCA, SBP, FETCO, and CTS and still noone has them. Strange...

I'm going on pure memory, as that soldier is no longer in my collection, but I'm fairly sure the Afrika Korp guy was going over some grass hill(Which was the same base as one of the Desert Brits, just painted a different color and I think sand bags instead of a chunk of wood), and he had his rifle w/ bayonet ready to strike whoever was on the other side. I think he had a tannish white jacket, green pants, and the helmet I don't really recall, but I'm sure it is an Afrika Korps soldier made to try and fit in with the fallschirmjagers.

Hey Panzerarm,

After looking at one of mine, I did notice that his helmet is not a Fals helmet. The insignia is also Wehrmarcht. I'm not totally up on German equipment but the only thing I can tell that would make him look AK is the tan coat. Wasn't there an XD Fals trooper that had a tan coat?

Either way, those new trooper sets are very welcome in my collection. It's been a long, long time since 21st gave us some new 32X fig sets.

Now if I could only find'em...

Look at his pants. Tropical, with one pocket front. Hes AK! Although mine was repainted in gray to match the others? :(
