I think this is a complete (or near-complete) list of my 1:32 collection of both WWII and Modern armor, vehicles, aircraft and artillery. I have slowly amassed this collection over a period of about 7 years. The low cost and relative ease of storing these smaller vehicles allowed my collection to grow very large over time. Impressive collections! 8)

[Cat]CplSlade, you've got all the 1:32 kits I've been eye-balling to get. Including the new JU-88 Revell.
Is that a Revell P-38 Lightning you've already built hanging up, or a Trumpeter?

I've got a lot of 21C in 1:32, but only four planes hanging up and one piece of armor out of the box. Still need to do a complete inventory. :?

Mike the pegboard is a awesome idea. Heck just to make movable shelfs for 1/72 scale items on planks supported by pegs.

you have just given me a project.

Nice to see some very impressive collections of the 1/32 and smaller stuff. :D

All mine are in my head. Not Literally. :P

I would have to sit down, and make a list from memory. No spreadsheet for me.

But I do have some good numbers of Corgi[1/32,and 1/72],Century Wings,Dragon,Forces of Valor[Mostly armour],Hobby Master,GMP,Eagles International. As well as some 21C,and a couple of Gemini Aces.

No 1/72 single prop fighters for me.Just too small IMO.

Nice to see the pictures too, guys.

One of these days I will get it figured out.

That is just really cool the way you have those 1:32 planes displayed. It's like going down a checklist for all versions released. 8)

What is the black thread you are using on each one if you don't mind me asking and how do you get them from turning over and slipping? which happens a lot with fish line.

For only a brief time at the outset of hanging, years ago; I used a fishing type line from a hardware store. I didn't like it either and started using regular black thread; I lost a chinese mig that way to the basement floor- I never knew that that many pieces could scatter that far in a 8-9 foot fall. Well, I stopped at a linen and things or some sort of sewing place, asked a lady if she knew of anything better, and was told of UPHOLSTERY-CURTAIN THREAD- my 18th and 32nd AC have been hanging for years with this stuff- I doesn't slide or slip any more than regular thread, except you might bust a nut trying to pull it apart. I've never lost another AC with it and do not replace it intermittently

I also used to lay my 32nd AC flat against the board like the 48th stuff, but got tired of not being able to see a good side view of the AC

[Cat]CplSlade, you've got all the 1:32 kits I've been eye-balling to get. Including the new JU-88 Revell.
Is that a Revell P-38 Lightning you've already built hanging up, or a Trumpeter?
It's an early Revell kit. It was a pain to work with. I hadn't built a kit in years and of course the first one I pick to do requires major reworking of the gear doors to have them in flight position. They are mostly putty on mine. It also tumbled off my paint stand during the OD coat and the booms detached from the wings - after I had done all my filling/sanding of holes and such. The decal sheet had also been punched out of sync with the transfer paper, but I was lucky enough to find a guy selling an extra set of Lightning decals from a later version of the kit. Anyway, I got another to try again when I have honed my skills a bit more. The one I have hanging looks about as decent as the 21st models all things considered. And I got it in the invasion stripes like I wanted.

Good old fishing line, 10lb test, works great and it's hard to see...

Thanks guys 8)

Upholstery thread huh? Strong, and it probably doesn't slip like the fishing line I use. My SBD goes into dives a lot. :) Though the thin 10lb test can be worked into the cracks with some key knots to hold it, is what I've been doing.

All these shared photos make me want to hang more planes. Next up is a Zero behind the SBD.

I've read the reviews on the Revell P-38, and it can be a beach to put together, but where else you gonna get a Lightning in 1:32 at a reasonable price? I'd do one like yours with the gear up and in flight, OD green, and like you say [CAT] it's as good looking as any 21C plane.
When they're hanging up there in flight for awesomeness, who cares about picky details? Many of us wouldn't have bought any 21stC planes if we were worried about super accuracy huh?

http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Trumpeter-1-32- ... 4cede254b0

the trump P-38 is less fickle to go together, but has the Trump price that goes with it..but shop around, on a non-buy it now, you can snag them at less than 50.00 NiB

Or wait for a Squadron/Great Model 50% off sale on the line, which happens every 6 months or so(for GM atleast when they trim their stock)
