Does anybody else have a model of the Do 335 "Arrow".
Diecast,plastic,whatever.
Has anyone made a model of this plane
I have an IXO 1:72 scale version.Got it three years ago for like $19.99.Pretty good metal model for $20!Also have the He 219 nightfighter.
IXO seem to produce some very interesting and unique aircraft, that we would all love to get our hands on,for really cheap prices.
Planes that nobody else produces.
Stormovik
He-219
Do 335
Henschel
etc.
The Do 335 is reckoned to be the fastest piston engined plane of WWII.
A very unique plane, with two propellers. One at the front of the fuselage, and one at the rear.Puller, and pusher.I wish I knew how to post pictures!
Anyway, who else out there has a model of this plane,or has built a model of this unique aircraft?
Do 335
Snake,
I built the Revell-Monogram 1/48 ProModeler Do-335 about 10 years ago. Don't know if the kit is still available though. I ended up building the two-seat version. Nice kit with photo-etched details. Easy build and looked great. Sadly I no longer have it, as I've moved about 4 times since then.
