Revell Germany has a new model of the "Bismarck" in 1/350 sale which is both astoundingly good (far better than the old Tamiya version which had set the standard) and reasonably priced. There is a review of it on modelwarships.com. The same sompany also just released a superb 1/144 scale "Fletcher" class destroyer. Both these kits will have photoetch sets available so they can be ridiculously detailed. I may get both.
There is also a platsic 1/350 "Akagi" that has just been released with a "Shokaku/ Zuikaku" in the same scale on the way. There are some wonderful 1/350 Japanese battleships (not the "Yamato/Musashi") to be had too that, from what I've seen, look great simply built out of the box. These models from Japan tend to be much pricier than the "Bismarck", however...
