Cyber-Hobby Wittmann Delivery Taking Too Long

Post by Mr. Football » Thu Mar 24, 2005 9:58 am

I don't think I've ever waited this long for Cyber-Hobby to ship its product. We're going on 4 months now since I ordered the two Wittmann Tanks (Ace....Zitadelle).

No delivery in sight.

Anyone have any info on when we can expect them?

Hi,
We're beginning to wonder too plus they owe us some back orders on merchandise that has already been released a few months back. On their behalf, dont forget that February was Chinese New Years, which means the factories close for the entire month. It would also mean that it would take them some time to ramp up again after the factories re-opened. What I dont understand is that they keep announcing new stuff, then list it as being sold out, without even shipping orders to their overseas clients. Strange.

Cyber Hobby stuff due

Post by Juneau@1 » Thu Mar 24, 2005 5:14 pm

Once again here is the list of Dragon stuff that Cyber Hobby has announced, that has yet to make an appearance on this side of the Ocean. I have been waiting on the Ritter King Tiger since about November. I wonder if we will see like we did with the last group of King Tiger with four difference ones being shipping with a six week period.

1. 1/72 King Tiger-Ritter
2. T-34/76 mod 1941 : Spring 1942
3. Tiger Ace in Operation "Zitadelle" - Tiger I (Early Production)
4. Tiger Ace & Glory
5. T-34/76 mod 1941 : Autumn 1942
6. Tiger I : schwere Panzer-Abteilung 101
7. Super-Heavy Tank : Maus
8. Super-Heavy Tank : E-100
9. 1/144 Leopold (Museum Version)
10. 1/144 Leopold (Winter Version)
11. Heinz Bar : Me 109E-3 "Battle of Britain"

I have been buying from Dragon CyberHobby for quite some time and was slowly getting accustomed to the order/pay/recieve duration being around 6 weeks. But, this last iteration of being charged hundreds of dollars and then waiting (and waiting, and waiting) for, in some cases, approximately 3/4 months has become quite disheartening. What makes the situtaion even harder to accept is that I can't even obtain a meaningful update from CyberHobby customer service - the last update I received was that the orders were being processed and packed for shipping (I think that was on March 8th). I think CyberHobby is just avoiding the situation because, because I have obtained responses to other non-related questions in a few days.

I don't know .......

They may take their time shipping them, but they don't seem to mess around when they debit my credit card. They should do what Amazon do & only deduct the money when they ship the orders.

If they release more cyber-hobby exclusives before they ship the back log that we all seem to be waiting for, I am going to have to think about it before automatically purchasing ....

Hello All,
Some good news to report. We just received the limited edition Heinrich Ritter King Tiger tank, #60147. Very nice looking piece that will undoubtedly sell out fast.

Are you sure that it is not just a partial shipment - I placed a few orders with the Ritter, Zitadelle, T-34, etc. and received a FedEx last night indicating that only the 60147s were being delivered.

Dragon CyberHobby does that frequently - will send partial shipments
if multiple items are on an order.

Just a thought ...... the FedEx should show you what items are included in the shipment. In one of the fields, you will see something like 8X60147, etc.

Hope this helps.

I can't apologize enough - but, I have that same optimism when I see that FedEx Pre-delivery Notification appear in the e-mail, only to be disheartened when I actually read the e-mail.

Apologies.

Looks like the item (Zitadelle - Wittmann Tiger) is available in
Hong Kong (Ebay item no. 5967346620). I hope that means that they will be appearing soon over here.

Just an FYI ....

Hey Gambit,

Was it shipped from Hong Kong or the Dragon (Cyber-Hobby) USA Headquarters in California? Typically, they bulk ship all of the US orders from China to California, then FedEX from there.

Just received today "Operation Zitadelle" direct from Hong Kong.
The Wittmann figure is very well done considering its size.

Wow! Congrats Gambit! Pics please!

Question: Did you get a pre-ship notice??? Are you in the United States? If so, what part? I haven't received anything...no FedEX pre-ship notice...nada. Getting concerned.

Anyone else in the States get theirs yet? Pre-ship notification?

I am in the states - no FedEx pre-shipment notice ... then again, I am not expecting one. Should be arriving UPS and I have not received any items yet.

I received no pre-notice for either shipments and was very surprised as I live in Calgary which is always the last place on the distribution chain.

Say, that is good news! Now if they can start shipping the Tiger Ace & Glory set, plus some of the other recently announced ltd. packs, I'd really be a happy camper!
