Will we ever see...

Post by Just1more » Sun Mar 20, 2005 7:28 am

a dragon quality Avenger in 1:72, heck I'd even be happy with a matchbox one... for a while. I wonder why no one has produced one? It sure seems to be a popular aircraft... I know alot of people that can't wait for the 1:18 version, myself being one of those folks...

US Navy Planes WWII

Post by Juneau@1 » Sun Mar 20, 2005 8:47 am

I wish we would see more US Navy planes besides the Corsair and Hellcat. For that matter some other Japanese planes besides the Zero would be nice too. It seems like everyone forgets about these planes, but I think Dragon is going to produce at least the Wildcat.

I too would like to see a 1/72 Avenger, especially the one that George HW Bush flew in the war. 8)

There's that new line of IXO 1:72 diecast planes coming out, as is seen in a seperate thread a few down from this one. Looks like we'll get our wish of different aircraft. J2M3 Jack, Hayabusa, Dewoitine D.520, plus some very interesting potential future releases!

To get back in topic, I would love a 1:72 Avenger, and see Dragon or Corgi as our best bets (though that IXO company may just beat them). At least we know with Corgi and Dragon, we'll get all the moving and opening features!

Can't wait for the 1:18 version, however!
