Ruger, I don't think Target has ever carried the FOV 109, only the P-51 and Spitfire.

Sorry, suppose I should have been more specific. I meant this one:

I'm into modern armor, so the other 109 never occured to me. Sorry for the confusion.

Whoops, I was pretty quick to assume there Ruger.

I haven't seen one of those for sale in brick and mortar in about three four years. Have you really seen one recently at Target?

The one vehicle I missed was the ITV M-113 and have never got around to buying one of e-bay...

Down in So Cal for a few days. After hitting a few Targets got lucky by Knotts Berry Farm. They had one P51, one FW and 4 Panzer 38(t)'s. Had both planes in my hands but had to leave the P51 after checking it out. Big white mark and paint missing off the wing stripe. All the Targets look like they're resetting and I think this will be an easy find in a couple weeks. Anyway bought the FW and 38t.

Well, darnit, hey are in CA afterall! I've checked all six targets in my town and as of today, they've got nothing but a bunch of FOV stuff. There is still hope as I believe more will be put out this upcoming weekend. Time will tell.

Thanks to seeing this thread, I went to my local target store. Found lots of stuff marked down. I bought a 1/32 Grant and a Stug for 9.98 each. They had four of those P51's eveyone talking about and a Spit. I didn't want the planes. Lots and lots of the 1/72 scale stuff for 2.98, I don't do them. No signs or tags for the new stuff that coming out.

Stug, does that playset have a Sherman or Firefly in it? I'm wondering if it is a new release but I can't tell by the phone photo...

Thanks

How fast does it take Target to do a restock like this? I went a couple of days ago, and I'm just curious if it takes days or a week or so.

At the closest Target (they're both pretty close to my house, only a slight difference in distance in a different direction) they had Bradleys and Abrams which oddly were still at $24.99. If they were on clearance I might pick up one of them, as I don't collect modern but they're nice pieces. But besides that everything else was dirt cheap: 1:72 figures, planes and sets. No 1:32 figures, but they had the shelf tag at clearance price. I have nothing to do today so I might just walk to Target. Skating is out of the question as it just rained. :(

The bad part is I won't have enough money me even if I do find something, so I don't know. I might just be lazy, stay home, wait until noon and then walk to the record store to hang out with the girl that works there. :D

I'd do both but they're both 2-3 miles opposite my house. So, 2 miles to Target, 5 miles to the record store, stay there for the day, and 3 miles back. Good excersise though. :D

sounds like it is time to look at your collection, find a duplicate and offer it up on the buy sell trade forum for some quick cash

you'd be surprised how many folks need a tank for a re-paint, like me hahaha

I don't have any duplicates, except for a Big Hog Corsair. Only because I bought the single one once and then the DogFight pack came out and I needed the zero. But noone ever needs a Big Hog, haha. I think everyone had their fill of Corsairs.

I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, I'd loathe ever giving up any of my planes or tanks. It would drive me nuts. I'd feel like a piece of me was missing. I'm not so OCD to where I want all the old releases NOW, but I eventually want them. I also try and get every repaint I find. If I can't find it in a store I can wait. If I find a really good deal online I'll jump on it. If it's a unique/online-only plane I'll buy it from BadCat or something.

I don't need to sell anything, to be honest I just need to get off of my lazy ass and get a job. That's the truth. But I've got a friend coming into town in two weeks, so I'm going to wait until after she leaves. I've been out of a job for 4 months or so, applied at places but never got called back. I've had some other issues as well, but that's not for here.

I just wish I hadn't been convinced to quit a really good job... I'd probably be making $10 an hour by now. Not a lot but I loved that job, I had a fantastic boss, and I got convinced that I didn't. When you want things and you don't have a job, you really start to miss those $280-$320 paychecks every week... :(

I miss walking into Wal-Mart, TRU or Target with $120 just for toys. I'd pick up something I really didn't need or collect just because I could, to satisfy the collecting beast. :D Good times! I remember I said I'd never collect 1:18, and that's how I got into 1:18. I remember I said I wouldn't collect 1:32 armor, and that's how I got hooked... :)

I was riding around today and found myself near a Super Target. After my last find, I had to stop in. No sign of the new 21st century stuff, but I grabed a 1/32 Stuart on clearance.

That's just too darn annoying :? Its one thing when stores in another state have the new items, but when they are appearing in other towns to the north and south of you in your own state - but not any of the six stores in your own area - it is very frustrating. Time will tell, I guess.

Tman, our boat will come in. I can feel it in my bones!

I think Target has much better distribution than WM, and I have no doubt these will be all over the place in the next month. My only regret is that our beloved coupons are defunct. I was counting on those to get me through until October. :(

By the way, the Target Fw-190 is seen in Luftwaffe Colors Volume 5 Section 2 Jagdwaffe: The War in the East 1944-1945 page 178. There is a black and white photo and color plate. From the caption it is photographed at Chrudim in Czechoslovakia and probably belonged to SG 77.

Those are great books by the way everyone should have a set
