So, is anyone considering the BBI SBD Dauntless?

Post by [CAT]CplSlade » Mon Apr 28, 2008 9:10 pm

Been looking at this thing over at BadCat but not having owned any BBI I'm not sure what to think. A Dauntless would be a great addition in 1/32 but are BBI up to the task based on past releases? I'd like to hear from the voice(s) of experience.

I am really looking forward to the BBI 32nd scale Dauntless. The BBI F-4J is my favorite 32nd scale model, and I have a feeling I am really going to like the BBI SBD Dauntless.

As stated above, if the BBI F-4 Phantom is any indication, the BBI Dauntless should be excellent. Easily on par with anything 21c has out at the moment 8)

Um, yes, I'm not of the group that can afford to pay that much for a model plane. My wife and two young children take precedence.

Now, $50 is a stretch but as it will be a belated birthday gift it can be justified.

I like that BBI is putting out a Dauntless, but the paint schemes so far seem kind of lacking...and since they are so slow at repaints, it seems like it could be forever before an early war or Midway scheme will come out for this model. So, for the time being, I'll wait...

I'm looking forward to it. If it is anything like the quality of their 1/18 stuff, it should be a treat. I just wish it was a little less expensive.

For $180 those Hobby-Master birds better be able to fly across the street and dive bomb my neighbors car.

But I am waiting for the BBI Daunty...and waiting...and waiting...
