Great thread thanks for helping me keep up with the new releases. This line seems to be on fire they turn over well at my local WM. Having a bit of trouble locating the FW 190's except red 3.

Would love to see some jets (beyond the ME262) in 32X - how about F-4,
F-105, F-86, etc. Anyone else feel that way?

I just honestly can't believe that in just a short span of lees than 5 months, my 32x airplane collection went from 1 plane to 15 planes..

All I have to say is: Keep'em coming 21st!!!!!!

I posted this on the 1:18 forum but should have posted it here. Duh!:

Pleasanton, CA has a bunch of 32x planes.

P-40, P-47, ME-262, P-51 (limited edition 5000 qty), ME-109, FW-190s. This is the first I've seen the 32x in person, and they look great. I even thought about buying some ($15 ea., not a bad price).

I just did the same thing Vulgar Vulture did, I should have posted mine here too, "duh". Oh well...... I'm just now seeing the "newer" versions here. Just last night I took a trip to my local W-M and saw the "Brit" P-40.....the Yellow "7".... Marylynn-II P-51.....and the "White-5" Me262. We are slow in my area to "jump on the band-wagon" here. I think if it were'nt for me they probably would'nt get much of a variety in at all. I still have my eyes peeled for "Eileen" but so far one has'nt come in yet. Unless it did and I completely missed out. Maybe not though, I've been pretty "lucky" so far keeping up with all this stuff. "Knock on wood" !

Hworth!

THANK YOU MAN!!!!

Those planes are awesome. I built one of each out of model sets a couple years back, One was 1/32 and the red one was a 1/48th. Both planes are superb, What a fantastic job 21rst did on these FGW190’s and what a great packing job you did Hworth 

Thanks again Bro!!!!

No prob King, I am glad they got there okay..
I agree with you, I REALLY like the Fw-190's.. Enough so that I bought extras and got some 1/32 decals for some custom repaints..
BTW... I was on a quest last week to find White 5, couldn't find it anywhere and now that I have it, they are starting to show up everywhere.. :?

I've noticed that the "new" ltd.edition planes that came through here, looked like they've been "rushed into production". The "Miss Marilynn II" has finger splotches in the paint, and the "Yellow 7 has got paint splatters and sloppy mis-painted markings on it. The RAF version looks like, on one of it's wings, like it skidded and scraped accross the floor. The paint on its nose looks incomplete. The "White 5" is fine except one of its wings is slightly curled up. I can repair this with a "hair-dryer",but to try and match some of this "aircraft paint" would be too much of a hassle. I bought these anyway. Am I just too picky ? I'm debating whether to take them back.

I don't think you're too crazy... I recently ordered a 1:32 "Black 1" FW-190 from BCA, which is part of this production run. It came factory sealed in a P-47 box - but with the correct FW-190 sticker. There were some paint runs and glue streaks on the plane, and part of the wing had a crack where the top and bottom halves joined. I contacted BCA about the quality of the plane and they replaced it with a new example that was in the correct box and looks wonderful!

You're lucky they did this for you,but never the less, they gave you what you wanted. That's the main thing.

Luckily so far the planes that I have taken out of the boxes look good, and I haven't noticed any problems on the others-but I will look more closely. There sounds like there is some variability in quality of production.

I picked up a number of planes today. So far, the Michalski FW190 was missing the tailwheel, the Eileen P47 had a wing where the paint(or dullcoat) was applied too thin and the bare plastic was showing. The "Red 3" FW190 was just fine. I still have three more to open up. The "yellow 7" Me109, "white 5" Me262 and the "black 1" FW190 look okay in the box so far...

I saw on the 21st century site, that they will be introducing the Zero & Macci planes. They are in the final production run right now, and should be out for Christmas....

1:32 Vs. 1:18

I was dissappointed with the overall quality of the Black F-109 and the Me-262, as both seem somewhat toysh. The pilots on all aircraft leave a lot to be desired as well.

Having said that, I'm delighted with the quality of the P-47s, FW-190s and P-40, and find very little difference between these and their 1:18 equivalents.

I think the biggest advantage of this scale is the potential for larger and better dioramas, at least spacewise.

Have any of you mixed 1:32s with 1:18s in your hanging displays? I've contemplated this idea, as it occurs to me that the 1:32s could be made to look as if they were flying at a higher altitude.

Any thoughts?

Ed

Ed,
That was discussed somewhere that one member did just that.. Fly the 32x closer to the ceiling to make them look like they are flying cover...

In answer to your question, the Me-262 is one of the OLDER molds and is not up to par with the newer releases, the same way with the 109E, but, I pick them up just the same..

NICE!!!

Just this past week, I was able to find the latest ME109, FW190, Miss Marilyn P51 and the white 5 ME 262 along with the British P40. That leaves me left with three P47's to have all these birds.... My ceiling is getting Unflyable!!!!!
