Follow up. About to begin weathering.
From left to right we have a Kettenkraftrad, SdKfz 223, Krupp Protze 6x4, and a Horch Type 1a 4x4. I swear I must have broken the semaphore posts off the Protze half a dozen times at least. That plastic is
thin!

From this:
to this:
Just needs the windshield and some more dust and she's done. Been pretty busy as of late due to enrolling in online schooling to get a master's in special education, but I am still squeaking in a little time here and there to model.

Waiting for the tires to dry, basically, and then I can move on to finishing this one as well. Had a bunch of homework to do today; the online stuff is kind of boring. Probably on purpose just to make sure you're actually reading your assignments.
Anyway, the SdKfz 223 is almost done. It actually will get some chipping along the front mainly to represent a fairly recent arrival. Since I built this quite a while ago I didn't prep it properly for heavier weathering. I have the Hobby Boss 222 so I can do a proper job on that one.
The Horch and Kettenrad are going to be done in a darker mud so I am waiting to do them together - which is next. Once those are done I will have the SdKfz 7/1, Wespe, and Opel Blitz (the cab frame is warped, so that will be fun) to finish the original bunch I started way back when.
There is probably a lot more I could do to all of these, and they've actually been left in a state I can revisit any of them, but I am quite frankly tired of looking at the same handful of kits and am ready to move on to something new.
I just got a couple more Pz III and another IV, plus a Spitfire Mk IIa, FW190F-8, and BF109G-6 so I just have to decide if it's airplane time or bigger tanks. BTW, building the planes means the equivalent 21st Century model will come up for sale, for those of you still collecting.
OH BY THE WAY!!!
I reorganized my photobucket albums and broke a ton of links. Those will get cleaned up if or as needed.

Done for now. I have some diorama/base plans for several of these so they will get some more attention later but for now these are good enough for me.
Horch
Kettenrad

The Sd.Kfz. 7/1 nears completion. This is my first ever attempt at white wash and weathering using the hairspray technique. I am planning a base for the vehicle and will finish the gun crew as Luftwaffe in white parkas. The groundwork will be muddy, with tall grass and light snowfall.
Still a few little touches here and there and she will be done until I finish the crew.
I will try to finish my Wespe in a more timely fashion now that school is winding down, but the Italeri Opel Blitz is going on the back burner - I have some other trucks I want to build first. I am going to do another plane next for a break and then will be starting fresh with a Pzkpfw III Ausf H Tropen and using the Rommel and German Tank crew by Master Box.

My current project:
Hand drilled that exhaust; Revell was too cheap to use slide-mold tech on them.
This plane replaces my 21C Gustav, and I already have replacements for my Emil and Friedrich, as well as each of the FW190s and a Ju87B-2, so eventually as the prebuilts are replaced on display they will be put up for sale. I also have a Zero and a Spit so I will soon be selling those as well. Keep your eyes open.

Well, school was pretty ass this semester so I was scrambling for model time. I have gotten the Ki61 Tony to primer stage. I put it aside to join some armor campaigns online, so have been working on a few different kits. I just finished a Sd.Kfz. 251/2 mit Granatwerfer by Dragon for the 250/251 campaign, and am wrapping up an AFV Club Sd.Kfz. 251/20 Uhu shortly. I also have an older Dragon Henschel Tiger II that I am about to start weathering. I have another project to complete as well that's not 1/35 related.
Once I finish another of the above I will start one of three choices, all 1/32:
FW190A-5 (and just happens to be the same plane as the Merit 1/18)
Yak-3
A6M5c Type 52
This build represents a relatively new vehicle, so it is still in good shape but has been on the march a while. The base will have a slightly muddy section that I plan to embed the tracks in and then blend the weathering together once it's situated. There will also be figures.
