Old Tiger in Target in Maryland

Post by bboc » Fri Aug 04, 2006 5:12 pm

I found two of the old FoV Enthusiast grade Tigers at a Target in Maryland. I left them because I had one from the first time they came out. I also saw that Hurricane with the different paint job than is on the back of the box.

There are some ebay links in this thread that have some decent pics of the new "dueling" repaints.. Other than this, you might check Ebay..

I suppose I should be more specific. I'ld like to see the new PIV paint. Funny thing they're not on the 21st site!?

I found the new repaints of the 32x King Tiger, Panzer III and Panzer IV. All three looked awesome, especially the Panzers. I only got the Panzer IV as this was an H variant which I didn't have and it came in a much interesting paintscheme than the first release. The Panzer III looks simply awesome in DAK tan and has detailed markings :D

I'd love to know why my Wal Marts get in all this great 32x stuff, but not one can stock even four Avengers

A Target in my AOR (Central Arkansas) has the new 1/72 figure sets and the new 1/32 armor, but not the new 1/72 armor. The old stuff is still full price, too.

I saw the 1/32 Abrams, Bradley, and Tiger.

Nothing new since every Walmart in the area is resetting for Christmas, but I did notice on the reset sheets posted on the shelving that the Avenger, XD, 1/48 planes and 1/32 planes are all getting bigger areas in which to display.. Heres hoping that this stuff all shows up by the end of the week!!...

Post by Bruzzer » Thu Aug 10, 2006 8:26 pm

Hi Everyone,
I stopped by Walmart today and there was a display of the new 144 planes P51,Hellcat, 262 & Frank. They cost $3.24 each. I bought the whole display of 12 ran about $42. Not quite as nice as the Japanese trading minatures stuff but still cool.

FOV on clearance...

Post by ostketten » Sun Aug 13, 2006 9:24 am

A local Wally in my AO had the FOV Soldiers of Steel on clearance at $5 ea. I think it's a pretty good deal considering that they were going for about $9 a few weeks ago if I recall correctly. I picked up the two WWII guys that I did not already have, plus two modern Marines.

Re: NEW 1-32nd Corsair and STUKA found

raiderad6 wrote:HI everyone. I normally don't do posts in this section i am more in the 1/18th scale but for you 1/32nd people whom are interested, I found the new Corsair and Stuka here in California Wal-Mart. I found the JU-87 North Africa Stuka 1941 and the F4U-1A/D "Devil Dogs" Corsair. I hope this helps. :D
Already?!? That is great news! I was just at a couple WM stores in my area today and didn't see anything new besides some 32x Zeros and Macchis. Glad to know these have hit the west coast first - and now I'll have to go have a look at the stores in my area, though I'm not expecting anything given the Avenger letdown.

Tman, I think you are having a breakdown over the Avenger  90% of your posts over the last few weeks have touched on their distribution - for all you know they were stuck in the Pet Section at some WM and you missed them, or they haven't been put out yet. Or they sold out before you got there...who knows? You have one now right? Don't lose faith right when more goodies are showing up.
Back to being jealous of you 1/32 guys and your hordes of new stuff and sick repaints..

Yeah I know digger, but I'm not sure about the 90%... The Avenger thing really had me bugged, especially when my stores traditionally got the new stuff when everyone else did. I usually had a certain amount of faith in the distribution regarding products that first appeared on the west coast, but that was badly shaken. Nothing like hearing about stuff being found in some podunk place elsewhere in your state while you can't find them in your own area. Its also not just a matter of new items being elsewhere in the store, but the fact that the stores don't even have them listed in the computer system! Yes, I did find one, but used up far more gas money than the plane was worth...

The hunt for the 32x planes continues, but I'm optimistic
