Didn't see the second one. Never heard of these till I got the FM e-mail yesterday.

Wonder how the quality of these will be, if they have more planned? Looks like they are made of resin.

I think all the Luft planes could be a very popular thing it seems though.
Nobody's making them pre-painted/ assembled in this scale till now.

yeah i can see them being popular too. The paint job on the BV isn't too good. I hope the finished product looks better.

I find it hard to believe that these are really resin. Resin molds don't last very long and the resin material itself is pretty expensive. Unless there's some other type of resin i'm not familiar with. Often solid plastic models, like the airliners from Skymax, are called resin, so maybe that's what they're like.

Eagerly awaiting them to make a TA-183 But I will get these two as well. Very nice to see experimental/conceptual German aircraft getting small scale treatment

Great to see these Luft- X planes being done. Think they could be quite popular, and a definite theme.

They look pretty decent, and are priced quite low. Not sure of the "resin" construction, myself.

Think that Luft-X could/ should do some actual aircraft as well, like the Me 163, Ho 229, Natter etc. Again, could be a pretty popular theme.

Like to see the TA-183 Tman mentioned, and of course an Ho-229 Snake mentioned.

Interesting when you read up on these Luft planes you find the Russians allegedly copied some of the Mig-15 design from the TA-183.

The Me-P1101 was 80% percent finished before the Americans captured it, then it was copied by Bell Aircraft almost exactly into the X-5 which had the first variable swept wing, another German invention we see on the F-14 and F-111.

Which design? I can also see some of the TA-183 in the Saber, but not as close to it as the Mig-15 is.
Northrop copied other designs in the Flying Wing though.

I'm supposing the variable swept wing on the Messerschmitt P-1011 was to have more lift and a shorter take off and particularly a shorter landing, where the Germans learned one of the weaknesses of the Me-262 the allies exploited was to shoot them down on vulnerable landings.

These are supposed to be coming out this month. I'm curious to see if they've improveed the finishes. Ugly paint jobs and crooked swastikas ain't going to cut it at this price point.

well these have finally been released and guess what....they look WORSE than the prototype pictures. Canopy is not even clear plastic but a foggy whiteish plastic....framing isn't even painted. Paint schemes are terrible. I wouldn't buy 'em for $10. What a shame.

The Gotha doesn't seem to be as bad, but the Blohm & Voss is hideous.

you're right.....the Gotha isn't so bad. Not crazy about the red markings but otherwise it's ok. The BV has to be wrong somehow.....they can't all look like that; why on earth bother to even release it? That must be a pre production model the Mule got but i don't understand why they'd post the pics....are they trying to totally kill sales? A few of these have been sold on Ebay using the original pics and when the new owners get a load of what the model really looks like they're going to be none too pleased.

Yeah, I wasn't happy either seeing the unboxed pictures of the P210. I may get the Gotha, but its suddenly lower priority compared to some other items I'm hankering for in 1:72 scale...

I saw these at my local Hobbytown USA store today. The packages are quite nice, but the models leave a lot to be desired when seen in person... Still, if they wind up making a TA-183, I'll jump on that!

does the BV really have the whitish-milky canopy like in the Flying Mule picture? If not, i don't mind doing a repaint but there's nothing that can be done about an unclear canopy. I have a feeling these will be on sale for cheap before too long. And as a result i doubt we'll be seeing anything more from Luft-X. They goofed big time.

Has anyone bought any of the early models? Do they really have frosted canopies?

They look OK for me but not the price. I might get the Me 329 & Triebflügel when they have better sale price and will repaint them for my LUFT 46 collection.
