Parting is such sweet sorrow

Post by PanzerArm » Mon Feb 20, 2012 11:02 pm

As some of you may know I will be going on a hobby hiatus in a few weeks. The wife and I are moving across the country for 12-18 months while I attend the Army's Initial Entry Rotary Wing course, and the hobby is not coming with :( . It is not something I feel I'll ahve much time for while I am there, but I do intend on staying active here while I am gone at least. It will make me feel like I haven't completely lost the hobby.

Anyway, today was the first day of packing up my stuff. I have whole lot of stuff already boxed in my garage and in storage, stuff i just didn't have room for inside, but today i started boxing the stuff that was the "readily available" supply in my office closet. It was stuffed! I filled five boxes with the stuff below, and the closet is still not empty! It sucks packing this stuff up. I am going to bring a few of my centerpeice custom items along to display at the new place, but that is it, everything else goes in the storage unit. Here are the pics of what I packed today:

Look at it another way..

In 12-18 months time you get to have an "unboxing" all over again! :D

Best of luck with your move.

Hi Kevin
Goodluck!!! I can take care of the Panzer III customs for you. Storing them in the garage is not fair for 1/32 works of art. Time goes very fast, before you know it you will be back. Take care!

Good luck with your course, PanzerArm. I am assuming it is a helicopter course?

At least you are taking a couple of most wanted with you, so not like cold Turkey.

Stay in touch. :D

Well, I guess I shouldn't say it was the last, the last of my display items, four tanks, will be coming along to AL. I have three of my own customs, plus one done by 1958Zelda set to grace a shelf of the office once we arrive at Ft. Rucker :D .
