Besides the ones you mentioned, though I think sometimes Aikens is a little high priced depending on what items they have and if they are scarce or out of production the prices jump up, which any smart business would do, but some competitive deals.

The Motor Pool has some reasonable deals. That's why they sell out fast I'm guessing. http://www.themotorpool.net/

I didn't think Military Toy Shop had any die-cast, but they have some reasonable prices. http://www.militarytoyshop.com/

Then of course there's Badcat Aviation. sometimes they are a little high, but they do have a lot of sales. http://www.badcattoys.com/

There's some guys here that have bought a lot of die cast who would probably know some really good shops.

For me, I find that the best price and deals are from fellow collectors. The secondary option is Ebay. Only time I buy form websites is if planes are on sale. Otherwise, I find websites price are too expensive.

I only buy from four dealers online. I'm sorry, but you'll never catch me buying from the Motorpool or Bad cats, both because of questionable business practices and/or bad experiences in the past.
The 4 I buy from exclusively are:
The Flying Mule, Aikens, Onmark and Petes Collectibles.

aikensairplanes.com
onmarkint.com
petescollectibles.com

I buy most my stuff from Aikens...great service and they can usually match prices

Yeah, I don't know who's reputable or not, as most of what I have bought is the 1:18 and 1:32 planes. It is is good to know who is reliable to deal with in die cast from the members here who have dealt with these dealers recently.

I was going by a recent intensive search of prices on a few Skymax and Hobbymaster 1:72 early pacific theatre planes I really want. The Val, Kate, Devastator, and Dauntless, and a few other obscurities in Oxford. Some beat others by a few dollars. The dealers I mentioned.

It's hard to fathom some of these are as much or more as a Walmart 1:18 plane used to be, but it is what it is, those days are gone.

Yeah I havent had a problem buying yet. The flying mule even got my stuff to me faster than I thought. I was just looking to find hard to find ones still, that I had seen on other sites. Im glad you all have given me some feedback. Makes it easier to pick and choose. Thanks again guys.

Those are the biggies in the US. But there are also other smaller retailers that have sales on every now and again.

I don't get the free shipping offered to US customers so any Canadian members should definitely consider Merritec diecast. Cheap shipping, and no Customs.

http://merritecdiecast.com/

DiecastBase out of Hong Kong do offer good deals as well. Especially for the members from Australia, New Zealand etc.

But for the US collector hard to beat The Flying Mule, Aikens, OnMark, and Pete's.

Don't forget about our own American Granadier. Rezzed.

Don't forget us!

For UK and European customers we are cheaper than the UK store Gouchy mentioned.

We stock FoV, Dragon Armor/Wings, Hobby Master, Blitz and we will be receiving 2 new ranges in the next few months.

And we know the difference between a StuG III B and G.

So, if your in the UK/Europe click the banner below!

Sorry about that!

Like I said, many of the "smaller" dealers are great to do business with. They just don't get the same coverage as say the Mule, or Jumblies.

At the end of the day, I think it comes down to price, with good service being paramount.

I am more than happy to give a smaller vendor my business, as long as they will meet the MAP for new models. And if you have a good relationship with your smaller vendor, then I think it is a win/win for both.

And as an added bonus, you might just get a bit more off a new release, as a valued customer, that the big dealers won't do.

Haha

I meant it in good humour.

Your totally right in what you say, it is a different experience buying from a smaller store. I might say we know our product better than most larger stores and can tend to spend more time on customer happiness. But then again, I am biased! :D

I live in Canada and I have purchased most of my collection from WWII Attic:

http://worldwariiattic.com/

I recently tried a US site and found the selection and price very good plus they shipped to Canada fast and cheap. The site is Hobby Bunker:
