Picked up this 1/72 scale modern carrier deck base for $19.99 from Flying Mule, it's made of 1/8 inch thick styrene by a company called "3 Wire Design" and they offer a variety of styles, scales, and sizes. This one is 11" X 17" and it's mounted in a $4 frame from Walmart. It had a little glossy sheen to it, so I gave it a light overspray of Rustoleum Window Frosting which eliminated all the shine. I really like these bases and plan to get some others as they become available in this size.

They look pretty good, ostketten.
And the frame adds a little class as well.
I would prefer the Dragon one, with the blast shield, myself. But these are more than adequate.

Those Dragon carrier dio's are getting scarce, but Amazon still has a few @ $47 which looks like a pretty good deal when you consider that the shipping is free.snake wrote:They look pretty good, ostketten.....

I may get one... I haven't decided yet.
