new FOV release dates?

Post by GI546 » Fri Apr 23, 2010 4:43 pm

has anyone noticed that on all of the sites that sell FOV, the release dates for certain items have changed.
so, hopefully i'm right, here are the new release dates.

JAGDTIGER- AUGUST (previously april)
M26 PERSHING-JUNE (previously may)
GERMAN and AMERICAN INFANTRY-JULY (previously june)
2.5 CARGO TRUCK- JULY (still july)
OPEL BLITZ- JULY (still july)
NORMANDY HALFTRACK- JUNE (PREVIOUSLY JULY)

maybe production was delayed?

i know, right.

i just want to get the stuff that 21c either didn't release or that i didn't get a chance to buy. (well, that would be pretty much all of them as i was late to the party)

but i'd really love to see the british paras, russian infantry, and german infantry. maybe they'll even do some marines.

Is GM allowing FOV to use the Opel brand? cause they didn't for Tamiya, MAC and a few other modelling companies of late.

First image of the FOV Opel I've seen. I located it on EBay Hong Kong site.

Looks pretty good. I'll definitely be in for one of these when they hit American shores.

.......... Uhh , I don't know about this one. I just may pass. ... No hood , doors won't open , all plastic like the deuce & a 1/2 ,.. which was a flop , so they had to make a 2nd. version "open topped" w/ three soldiers , when they could've just made it w/ a removable top instead.

->>>-----> POOR MARKETING STRATEGY ! ! !

* ... or should I say "Greedy Marketing". When we all craved a deuce , they just cheapened it , and for a high pri¢e to boot. C'mon FoV , ya' wanna sell these new vehicles or what ? ...

....... looks like the top (might be) removable on this one though ,.. but still , and for the pri¢e ,.. the 21st. version blows this one far and away. @ least the doors and stuff opened and were accessible and the top was removable. You could even switch bodies around between it and the Maultier. 8)

Hmmm.. well you brought up some points I hadn't known about, so I may have to reconsider getting the Opel. :? The Deuce is another matter altogether.... I've got two, and I think it's definitely worth having in spite of it's limitations, considering that no one else makes one in this scale.

I really see no point in getting that Opel truck when the 21st can still be had reasonably priced. With the opening doors, hood, very sharp detailing, plus it's brother the Halftrack in multiple schemes I don't see the point. Though I'll have to see one up close to make a final decision, I don't see it beating out the 21st.

Don't know what FOV is thinking.

I do have that Deuce and 1/2 though.
