Franklin mint 1:48th scale HE-111

Post by cornbreadfred » Sun May 31, 2009 9:03 pm

I picked up a Franklin Mint 1:48th scale HE-111 bomber from a friend today. He is moving, and he sold me a couple of his models. I must say this HE-111 is nice. It really has the look of the plane, and it is one heavy model. I like it a lot. :D
Fred, really looking forward to the JSI 1/18th scale Grumman F-14 Tomcat.

I have one of these too.Battle of Britain camo.
Decent detail,good size,and pretty heavy.
I have a coupe of Corgi 1:72 He111's,including one with a V1 flying bomb.Very nice.
The FM series in this size is not bad.I also have a B-26 Marauder in this scale.
If you are a fan of a particular plane, and FM makes it in 1:48,go for it!You will not be dissapointed. The size and weight are impressive.
I have 3 CF-18's,all different squadrons,done by FM.Limited to 200 units each.Nice!

Yes snake I like my HE-111 a lot. It has that sleek look of the plane, and the paint work on it is well done also.
