Glad to see prices on the rise, it may just make these all worth something in the future..

That one right there is one beautifully painted plane.

Back-in-the-day, I bought one for display and couldn't wait to get another one "for the future".

I've seen most of the other Corsair re-paints, and that one's my fave.

The white tail Corsairs (the one with the pic on the box) seem to go high too, but I haven't seen many go this high.

$56 for that  That was the first paint scheme for the Corsair that I picked up once upon a time. My Wal Mart had a number of them. It is currently sitting up in a box in my attic. Still in good shape, save that the pitot tube broke...

I'm beginning to think that I should put these planes either into a glass display case or keep them store individually in padded boxes.

 Yeah but 1 reason the price is high is ya got an Ebay FNG bidding who hasn't figured out how to properly bid on Ebay yet(the bidder with 4 bids).Ya wait till last 20 seconds then bid.

I love them ebay newbies! They don't understand the concept of bidding.
It's great when it's your item they're bidding on.

The last 20 seconds, they call it sniping. Yes I use that method all the time.
I like the military term, hiding in the bushes waiting for that kill shot!

Nope, the newbs all rush out of their foxholes and get mowed down by the experienced bidders, unless it's like this. Let them fight over it.

Makes me think about digging out some of those extra 32X Corsairs I got.

The 32x Corsair is a great plane - but not worth $76! There are even better scehemes than the VMF 111 paint job. It is not even the pinnacle of 32x aircraft design - that honor going to the FW-190A/F in my opinon. You can practically buy a premium Corgi 1:32 plane for nearly that much.

Holy Cow, $76!!! Last I checked, it was at $56.

Tman, agreed on the FW-190. I was amazed when I got mine last month at the level of detail they put into it.

:?: But what would final price be if C***7(4) and 7***7(2) hadn't been bidding, these 2 FNG's took it from $14 to$75 by themselves. And 0***0(46) doubled down 4 times cuz he REALLY wanted it,so if another shows up on Ebay and the winner dosn't want a wingman and the 2 IDIOTS miss it maybe price will be more reasonable.

Well, since 21st is out of business, I would think that this will become the norm in the future with the more rarer releases. Obviously, someone was willing to pay $76 or more for the Corsair, and if that is what they were willing to pay, so be it, all the better for us collectors.

Agreed. Show me a collector who doesn't want his collection to increase in value and I'll show you a moron.

I actually won a different Corsair on ebay a year or so ago and the seller sent me this one by mistake and I returned it for the right one, stupid me. Ya just never know..

Personally when several fight over something and it sells high, then another seller puts the exact same item up and it doesn't bring half as much and the same "bidders" aren't involved the 2nd time around, I always suspect a little seller shilling going on, just me.

I think most of the serious buyers are snipers, like myself, and I'm cautious about bidding on something where these alleged "fng's" are bidding stupidly, may also be the seller jacking it up, ya never know.
