Yea, I picked up a ton stuff yesterday. I went to 2 today and pickings were slim. One of the workers said people were all over them. I've been looking at the model hanger forums posts and I can tell alot the guys have hit the stores.

Wow! talk about almost missing the bus. I was picking up some food for my son (APBT) at Petco today and saw the Tuesday Morning and recalled it being mentioned here on the forum. I was shocked to find quite alot of Corgi goodies still on the endcap. I picked up some Tactical Strike pieces (M1's, M2's, Apache and Lil Bird) as well as two of the 50th tanks (Sicily and Tarawa Shermans). So I decided to check out a few of the other TM's in my AO, and hit the motherload at the Laurel store. Picked up a 32nd Mustang (Stinger VII) and a B-17 (Memphis Belle) as well as a couple of the Helos (HMX1). Also found VX4 (Bicentennial) and Blue Angel F-4's. Hit one last TM and picked up 5 of the Legends of Flight (History Channel) 72nd scale planes including a Spit Mk1 2x F4u, BF109, and an FW190 as well as 3 of the Matchbox tanks (2 Panthers and one Sherman). All in all, quite a good day. If anyone is located in Md and is interested in the 32nd Mustangs, the Laurel store had 2 more on the shelf when I left this evening 5 minutes prior to them closing.

If you've got the Tuesday Morning stores in your AO, I urge you to check 'em out as I was suprised to see soo much of the highend pieces still on the shelves. I made out very well when Tuesday Morning featured the Franklin Mint items, but they didn't last a week before being picked down to nothing.

Which FW-190 did you pick up? I hadn't seen any mention of these being in the Tuesday Morning offering until now?

Mrfootball - Actually...I was mistaken,I just looked through the "pile", I picked up two of the BF-109's, when doing the list, thought I had picked up one of the FW-109s. Now I can't recall if I even saw the FW's? I'll be heading back today to a couple stores to pick up a couple items for two gentleman who PM'd me, so I'll look and let you know if there in fact were FW's.

Todd

How much did you pay for the 1/72 b-24, and the 1/72 b-17?

I picked up the 1/72 Memphis Belle ($29.95 - normally $100) and the Iraqi Freedom RAF Tornado Gr.4 ($14.95 normally $50) ...both terrific models!

Damnit, I have been ignoring this thread as I have never heard of Tuesday Morning and for kicks do a search and find there is one in Traverse City, MI about 12 miles from home.

Just called them and they still have Corgi armor and planes for sale :D . I am going to stop on the way home from work tonight to look over the armor. I know, I know, I am a newb and one of the few Corgi "armor" fanboy's on this site.

Thanks for the heads up by everyone!

Hehe, found out why I haven't heard of them before. They just opened the store in Traverse City a week and a half ago. They did have the Corgi armor and planes and the store manager said she has approximately 500 boxes to open yet. Yes, 500 - I didn't believe it either until she pointed out the backroom storage. Unfortunately she does not know if there are any Corgi in them so I will be stopping by on Friday. Best price I have ever seen on the armor and halftracks at $14.99 plus tax 8) .

The sale goes on till everything is sold.. And if it sits long enough, it will eventually go on clearance where it will be marked down even more...

Ok...to you fellas who found or still have any of the following items on shelves:
- Buccaneers
- Tornados
I've been stocking up on the 50th Tanks/Vehicles, 72nd scale bombers, 1/144 B52's, 32nd Mustangs. I'd be interested in working out trades for Buccaneers and Tornados, so if you're interested, email me and we'll discuss the details.

MrFootball - Thanks for taking the time to respond. I'm most certainly interested, thanks for the generous offer. If you manage to find anything, drop me an email and we can work out the details. If you'd prefer $$$$ (actual cost plus extra for your time) I'm verified Paypal if thats the way you'd prefer to go?

Todd

Hey Guys, don't give up on Tuesday Morning yet. I was in SoCal this weekend dropped by a store and found a Tornado and a 1/72 Memphis Belle. The funny part to me is this store is within 1/4 mile of a descent hobby shop and within 5 miles of the WOH event. I went in on Sunday and the Tornado was on the endcap and the Belle was in the toy aisle. Keep looking.

I stopped by one on a whim yesterday and found one History Channel 1/72 Spitfire I. I was in another a few weeks ago and all they had was the 1/144 707. They had plenty of cars and 1/50 and 1/64 tanks. Are Tuesday Mornings still receiving shippments of 1/72 and 1/144 Corgi planes? Any body find anything lately? What versions of the 1/144 B-52 and 1/72 Buccaneers were they selling? Do Tuesday Morning stores receive the same shipments, or do they vary? I wouldn't mind some more History Channel planes... 8)

I believe the Corgi stuff was a one time deal, and everything you've found is pretty much going to be it, unless of course they happen across cases of product at the Distribution warehouses, which is highly unlikely give the companies ultra fast turnaround. I've literally checked all the stores in Md, and all but two in Va during the week and a half after the sale was announced in the email, and just checked most of those very same stores over the past two weekeneds, and only found a couple different items at one store, and I believe it's because they were buried in the toy aisle as opposed to the endcap where the majority were found. The stores will close for inventory(aka cleanup..lol) for several weeks 2-3 times a year and one of these times happened between the first run I made and the most recent, and no new items, so again, it's unlikely you'll find items being restocked. This happened pretty much the same way a couple years ago when Franklin Mint closed their retail stores and TM had a ton of FM diecast, and once it was gone, there was no restock.

In regards to the Buccaneers and Buffs, I managed to find the following:
B-52s - (3) of the B-52F's (SEAC) Castle AFB Ca. 1971
Buccaneers - (3) S.2B's Lossiemouth, RAF 1993
Several F-4's, a Tornado, Hunters, 32nd P51's, several WW2 Bombers, several different Helos, tons of tanks, etc. This was needed as I really never collected too much in the way of Corgi, and now I was able to get more for my money..

Thanks for the news. I'm glad I got what I got. It sounds like most of them were gone before everyone found out about it.

I agree, the items went pretty quick but I believe thats due to the various diecast related boards that put a "Heads Up Alert" out when TM first sent the email out. I suggest you go to their site and get on their mailing list, it does pay off once in a while..lol
