At about a buck an inch, they are cheaper than Quiznos. Hey, any way to justify a purchase.

But they aren't toasty!

I need to check that place out a few more times and try to score some of those ships! They will look good next to my Johnny Lightning Star Trek Starships. 8)

Final haul

Post by csiemers » Sat Mar 22, 2008 7:26 pm

Went to 3 more TMs in my area today.

So, in the last month, I've been to 9 local TMs and here's my haul:

Corgi 1/72 planes:
2: Mustang
1: P-47
1: Hurricane

Corgi 1/72 helicopters:
2: AH-60

5: 1/700 scale ships
New Jersey
Missouri
Indianapolis
Hornet
Intrepid

Here's a picture:

Nice score CS!

I hit the second TM in my AO today and picked up the last two ships I needed to complete the set and some more Corgi TS. I saw that they had a few Corgi 1/72 Blackhawks and 1/50 M-16 Quad .50 halftracks but passed on these. I wish I could find the Hurrican and Mustang like you have. I think I will have add TM to my monthly rounds to see what else pops up. :D

All I found were two Tac Strike Humm-Vees and two Corgi P-47s. Grr. Too late.... No sign of the ships at all.

I'm not too surprised, in my area, out of 9 TMs only 4 of them had the ships and 2 of those only had a couple of ships.

It was definitely hit or miss as the stores didn't carry the same things.

On e-bay I noticed there is a 1/700 Arizona available. This is the only one I don't have. Has anyone seen it at TM or is it OOP?

I really like these ships and want an entire fleet. Hopefully someone can pick up this scale and run with it. I have been looking at expanding to some freight ships and even liners for troop transport repaints but there is not much out there in this scale. :(

Found four of the Corgi "Forward March" 1:32 die-cast military figures there the other day. Nicely detailed.

Bud Anderson
Adolph "Sailor" Malan
and two recruit poster figures for 3.99 each
