1:32 Vietnam

Post by 75th Ranger » Sun Aug 24, 2008 7:18 am

Fellows,
has anyone ever wonder why 21st and/or other companies do not expand their 1:32 scale lines by adding a 1:32 Vietnam series. I would definitely love that! especially if they use some of the already preexisting diorama pieces and add some 1:32 nam figures, vehicles and extra diorama pieces.
What do you guys think about this idea?
I know a lot of people don't like nam stuff but again, as separate series it may also sell....in 1:32 scale...for diorama and playability options.

I would like to see it, or at the very least a set of pre-painted Vietnam soldiers so that my 21c 32x M-113 can have some passengers. In pre-assembled 1:32 scale, we currently have four items from the Vietnam period: 32x M-113, FOV M-60 (albeit with some modifications), BBI F-4, BBI F-104 (upcoming). Not bad, but we could really use some figures and a Huey

I wish they would re-release the M-113.

That makes two of us. I only have one that I got from another board member because for some reason it didn't sing to me when it came out. I think it may be 21Cs best 1/32 piece. AND it is cold steel and feels darn good in the hand.

There are only two pieces they haven't re-released; the M-113 and the Walker Bulldog. I wonder why?

Simple reason, 21c's bad business practices (also helped by Wal Mart) caused them to default on their payments to the Chinese factories, which then withheld the moulds

Both tanks would be great to re-release. I have the M-113 and agree it is one of 21c's best armor pieces. After all, its diecast and has a full detailed interior and engine compartment that are even more detailed than the 1:18 scale M-113 8) I would also love to get the Bulldog. I once bought on original OD green one, but then decided I didn't like it and returned the darn thing. In retrospect, I shouldn't have done that...

You guys are talking mostly armor here. Yeah I would like to see a Walker Bulldog, Duece and a Half, Mutt, even a Gunboat.

How about some 1/32 Hueys, Cobras, Chinooks, even a Skycrane carrying a Howitzer?
Puff the Magic Dragon C-47?
I'm dreaming again.
