Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Your guns! Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!

Question for TKO and the other 1/18 guys: where in the world do you store 100 AC?

I have 12 and they completely take up the ceiling of a large, spare bedroom. I don't like to buy what I can't display, so I don't get it. Either you have done up your barn or workshop or thrown out the wife and taken over the whole house. The other alternative is to keep the majority in deep storage which defeats the purpose, doesn't it? I occassionally cull the herd and dump off my extra. Who needs 20 Shermans?

My home is 3800 square feet and I am not sure I could show 100 i1/18 AC f I tried! Now 1/32 is another story...

Like TKO I have many 1/18 planes (prolly ~130). I use the boxed ones as wallpaper in the basement game room. :) I have a rotating display of unboxed 1/18th planes, about 10 at a time.

In 1/32 I've got about 70 or so planes, all in their boxes, wallpapering another wall in the basement game room.

I've also got a boatload of 1/72 Corgi and Matchbox Collectible aircraft, all in storage. I collected these primarily before the 1/18th planes came out.

I find the small planes (including 1/32) just do not have the "presence" as the big ones, even if they have comparable detail, and they don't interest me very much.

If the manufacturers stop making 1/18, I'll stop collecting pre-made planes and focus on scratchbuilding 1/18. I'm already leaning this way with the dearth of new 1/18 planes available, working on teaching myself the necessary skills.

Finally got my account activated and hope I can contribute.
I started with 1/18 and have about 10 but no room to display them. This summer I started with 1/32. They have enough detail to be interesting and dispaly well in my office. I have about 25 so far and display them 8 at a time. Any good sources form the early P-51D and p-47 that i missed before I started.
Thanks

From 61 to 67 in a month isn't too bad, and still a bunch to go

I've got 28, and I started in the beginning of summer. But I also have 4 1:18 planes, a 1:18 Apache, a 1:18 Hanomag with Pak 40, 7 1:32 armor pieces and a dozen 1:18 figures.

Ehh,

I only have two.

A Stuka and a P40 AVG.

I just started getting into planes, so I guess that is my excuse.

The subject title didn't specify planes for this thread, so if you wanna count armor, over 250!
