That's a fantastic price! I'll bet they'll be sold out within a couple hours.

Excellent price for the BBI F-16 :D I will be curious if those of you who ordered one get the regular "Wolf Pack" plane or something new... I'm going to stick with the plane I have

Not wanting to be a sceptic but.....

Image

After looking at the image above, it would appear (to me) that all the markings on this model are decals, including those for the re-fueling stipes.

But that may just be because this is a protoype for a new scheme. For your sakes I hope that I am wrong.

This is actually the very first F-16 paint scheme initially proposed by BBI. Our original sample was the MJ Falcon but they ended-up substituting for the more popular Wolfpack F-16 when actual full-scale production occurred about three years ago. So my guess is either:

1. Target is displaying an old, old photograph and are really selling the Wolfpack, not knowing there is a difference.

OR

2. BBI made a special run of the MJ scheme for Target.

Snagged one. Decided it would be a good investment even if I don't keep it for myself. Using Razor's coupon code (thanks Razor) 8) it ran me $56.69 total, for some reason they charged me tax of $2.70 :?:

Thanks for the heads up. I've put off getting one of these for forever, but with that price, I finally decided it was time to pick one up. We'll see what shows up. :D

Did anyone see a "Log off" or "Sign Off"

Post by MiG29K » Fri Nov 09, 2007 4:02 am

For those of you who set up an account (of course you need to in order to buy) did any of you see a 'log out' button after you purchased? Or are we perpetually logged into this thing?

Anybody know where Target's distribution center is located, :?: I'm still curious why they charged me sales tax on the order, that usually only happens when the sale occurs within your state of residence.

I just ordered on as well. They charged me a little taxage as well. Not sure what's up with that unless it's shipping from a location within our own state????? :? Anyway at that price who cares I guess. Hope it's the MJ scheme, if not guess will make a Tiger Meet plane out of it. :D

I didn't see a logout button on the website either. I guess when you clic out of the website, it logs you off. I'll be keeping a close watch on the credit card I used to pay for this plane as a precaution.

If there is a Target retail store in your state you get nailed for the sales tax.

I know.... it sucks. :x

That bites considering the web site clearly states that this item is not carried in their stores. I ordered some anyway. :?

My bank card still shows a charge from when I ordered one and I have a UPS tracking number. It was scanned in Dallas and is on its way for delivery Tuesday the 13th. If you go to yourorder site, there is a link about taxes. Target charges taxes for all but a few states. It is not that uncommon. Both Columbia and BMG music club charge taxes as do most book clubs.

Bad news guys. I ordered 4 F-16s. They were waiting for me when I came home today. All wolf packs. Still they are a steal at this price.

Had a feeling that would be the case, just like the black F-18's last year that turned out to be the standard vanilla Golden Dragons birds. Still, great price though.

Received mine today... it's the Wolfpack version, no biggie, I really did not care one way or the other. I have never had any version of this model previously (Planes are not my primary gig) but I was amazed at the size of this thing...it's GINORMOUS!! Dunno if these are still available but I may grab another if they are, and just put it away for a rainy day. 8) A very impressive model if I do say so, and this is a real compliment coming from a die hard ground pounder like me.
