McFarlane to make WWII figures.
Not 1/18 but not really off topic either. Got an update email from McFarlane saying they will begin making WWII figures and start distributing by June of '08. I only have a couple of their modern figures but I'm sure I will get all of their WWII line. Looks like they will cover all of the services. For static models they are outstanding.

Heres the tentative lineup as listed on their site.
Army Infantry Private: D-Day
Army Infantry Bar Gunner: Battle of the Bulge
Marine Corp Flamethrowr: Battle of Iwo Jima
Air Corp P-51 Pilot: Tuskegee Airman
Army Ranger: D-Day
Navy Boat Gunners Mate: Battle of the Pacific
Army Infantry Granadier: Battle of Monte Cassino
Army Airborne Captain: Battle of Carentan
There will also be a boxed set of a .30 Cal Gunner.
I would guess that these are going to be TRU exclusives? As of now it looks to be American figures only.

I like them, but I don't know if I would buy them unless the hubby wanted them too, because I don't take very good care of the military stuff I buy strictly for myself. I STILL have all my 1:32 and 1:72 planes downstairs and sure enough one of the mustangs got knocked off the table by accident and the back fin flew off. But the hubby fixed it for me. Next time I might not be so lucky!!
Okay, you are now firing a gun at your imaginary friend NEAR 400 POUNDS OF NITROGLYCERINE!!!
