There in NorCal. I've saw one earlier this week at the Mt View Walmart. There still $39.99 like all the other XD over here.

Hworth I'd jump on this one if I were you. I have bought from this seller and can recommend him.

The price is fair and the box looks like it's in nice shape.

Ebay # is 6945097211

Found Black 12 in Virginia. Only one case with two 12s and two of the first series chevron 190s. I opened the chevron and compared it to the boxed 12 and my displayed Red. I noticed that some parts are remolded from the Red I purchased several months ago. First, there is a shroud in the back part of the canopy on both, like a shade that covers the back part of the cockpit. It's a painted and molded insert on the inside of the rear of the canopy. The red 190 had a grey strip but you could see the space behind the pilot's seat. The closed lock-down of the canopy of the unit I opened does not work well. Is the new canopy accurate? Secondly, the chevron 190 has a small clear protrusion (for the antenna wire I suppose) molded into the top of the canopy. The 12 and the Red do not. There are molded protrusions with German printing on all tabbed wing parts, which the Red does not have (they protrude about a 16th of an inch while on the red the printing is directly on the edge of the wing surface). These pieces have been remolded. Thirdly, the circular antenna on the bottom of the fuselage of the chevron and 12 is in place. It was attached to the cockpit control stick on the Red. Fourth, the box is 21st Century's blue box, not Wal*Mart's Motorworks. Fifth, the pilots' faces in the 12 and the chevron (same pilot as the Red) all look like they're in the late stages of an Ebola outbreak. Lastly, there is an attempt at weathering, the Red was clean. While these conditions may only be representative of the ones I purchased, it is worth mentioning.

FW190s

Post by Jagdflieger » Sun Jan 30, 2005 9:05 pm

Here in Sierra Vista, Arizona we have two "new" FW190d9s.

There is a Black 1 and a Black 12.

The Black 1 was all beat up so I didn't pick it up.

The Black 12 I did... but it is very poor quality. I am sure 21st C is dumping their rejects into the Wal-Mart system. The underneath of the wings on Black 12.. the ailerons are a pale blue.... but on one wing that color runs up into the main wing area and wipes out the left side of the German Cross.

I can take a picture and email it to someone if they can post it here.

Very disappointed in this plane. I am going to go back to the store and buy the other Black 12 and bring it home and check it out. If the wing section is straight on it.... it will stay here and I will send the other plane back.

FWIW the radio loop is on Black 12.. (instead of attached to the joystick like Red 3 and Chevron)

Also they painted the leading edge of the cockpit brown as if it were trimmed in leather.

Jagdflieger thats the way it was made to look like parts from different plans to make one flyable. I like this 190 the best of them all.

KWR is right.. This is a LATE Fw-190D-9 and is meant to look like it had been rebuilt.. I hear it's the best of the bunch and that's one reason I so want this version.. :D
