1:18 german heavy MG?

Post by trigger1 » Fri Jun 29, 2007 3:33 pm

Were any of the 1:18 german figures released with an MG42 or MG34? Such a vital part of the German arsenal, but I can't seem to find any in 1:18.

Both are our there. Probably easier to get the 34 now - it came originally with a FJ but was issued again with the BoBII figs.

the mg42 was released in the very first series of germans with the german machine gunner figure. He came with a camo covered helmet and accessories for the mg. Probably getting hard to find now. Mg 42's come with all versions of the german halftrack, kubel, panther and tiger.

Mg 34 came with one of the german paras (with anti aircraft tripod), as digger said and is on all the pz IV's both rc and regular. Bossk star wars figures also come with an mg 34, as do some sandtrooper figures.

There are no regular tripod mounts available in 1/18 for either gun (aside from the AA tripod mentioned above). I don't think any of the dragon figures came with either mg34 or 42.
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

Andrew is right - no heavy MG with the Dragon guys which is a shame as their weapons are excellent. They even had a removable clip on their MP-40 long before we saw that feature done elsewhere. Very cool.

There was however no MG-42 with the Panther, just the Tiger.

MG-42s on the 1:18 Tigers and all SDK-251 Halftracks and their variants in addition to the said figures. Complete MG-34s on the Panzer IV commander cuppolas and the said figures above.

Great to hear.I wish I had more time to investigate this stuff. The local morning radio station crew in my area refers to their listening audience as the THROBBING BRAIN.It means that they are standing by ready to answer any question when called upon. You guys are my throbbing brain, and that is why I love this forum.
