It’s going to be a great bird! I preordered mine back when they were dirt cheap. I think I got it for around $50. I can’t remember for sure. I will have to check my emails. :D

I haven't sprung for any of the repaints of the P-38 since the S-1 version came out, which I purchased at TRU way back in the day. By the looks of the Cutie, I may be adding another '38 to the fleet.

Lightnings look awesome in green/gray with invasion stripes!

New pictures are up on Bad Cats site. For those of you that think this bird isn’t worth the money take a look at these new pics. This plane looks great! I love the nose art!

I am a big fan of the nose art. I wish the companies produced more Vargas-styled nose art

Well, while all you boys are loving TRU right now, just wanted to say I got my California Cutie today!!! Looks pretty good, and I love the box!! You all will be stunned when you get your package from Bad Cat...especially if you remember the old P-38 boxes...Almost half the size!!! 21st should do a similar redesign to the other standard 1:18 box.

Didn't take too close a look at the plane, but I can imagine there will be complaints from some about the nose art.

I've had my plane for a couple days and decided to put it together tonight. Not the greatest paint job I've seen from 21st. My BBD is alot cleaner than the P-38. Alot of touch ups, overspray on the drab from the grey, drab showing through the yellow. More but that would just be me being picky :P Overall I like the scheme it will look good hanging. Now I have to make room.

My Cutie is someplace in Illinois. Should be in Cincinnati on Monday. I looked at my order confirmation and noticed just how good of a deal I got on it when I pre-ordered it from the Cat. I paid $55 plus shipping. Ended up being $64.99 shipped. That’s a good deal for that plane.

I think that is just a nasty rumor. I would be shocked if 21st retooled the P-38. I know if they did, I would order one immediately!!!
