Peanut Butter & Rum...
Re: Didn't someone here acquire the prototype PBR somehow, or am I hallucinating again?...actually, one of the original April's Fool postings on the old GP board would have had us believe that long MIA boardmember Brad had gotten it from 21CT...he shortly came clean, but I was expecting 21CT to put it up for auction when they briefly went through that mixed-up adolescent phase... (if you don't remember that, better left forgotten)

B-29??? I'd have to pass on that one.
Actually as big as I dream in 1/18 is a B-25, a Black Widow and Mosquito in the air and the big Famo half track pulling a 88mm and an armored Pacific tractor pulling a trailer with a Pershing tank on it and an M-4 High Sprred Tractor pulling a 155mm Long Tom..
After those, I usually wake up all sweaty
Too many of those dreams is not good for you.

Military Intelligence - two words that just do NOT belong together!
(Before anyone gets too upset, it's not the military intelligence that's the problem, it's what us civvies do with it!!!)
It's like those conversation between soldiers (depends who you as as to who and where they were... and when!):
1st Soldier: "No plan survives contact with the enemy."
2nd Soldier: "No plan survives contact with reality."
3rd Soldier: "That's nuthin - back in (insert war here) we had the most dangerous thing known to mankind."
2nd Soldier: "What's that?"
3rd Soldier (quietly, and looking very worried): "An officer with a map."

Looks to be mis-labeled. They also called the desert stuka the winter version and claimed it was released already.chunks wrote:That P-38 looks like it might be Haleakala II. Did 21c use the wrong photo, mislabel the release, or was that the actual announcement for H II?

That PBR looks nice...... maybe we should start a hunger strike to persuade 21C to finally produce it.
In my mind, it would seem to be a profitable piece. Lots of playability and ties in well with their VN stuff. At the very least, I don't think either of the other companies have plans to release one.
But who knows.

1/6 Pz III
[quote="Threetoughtrucks"]How about the Panzer III in 1/6 and RC? A prototype was made and then the project died. Why?
Not a complete answer but several years ago, when this project was being talked about, the CEO of 21st told me that they were having problems finding a company that would work with molds that large. The Panzer III is a little bigger than the Stuart. They were of course looking in China and at the time were exploring a company that made plastic garbage cans. Perhaps they never found a suitable producer, or perhaps they figured the market just wasn't there. Oh well ... what might have been.

no I did not paint it
Negative I did not do this, I believe this was shown as a prototype at one of 21st C booth at one of the toy shows around 2003.newwavepop wrote:that figure is beautiful did you do it?
I think it was around that year or maybe the year after I asked (I think it was Roy) at SDCC...if they were going to release carded black uniform german tankers...his reply was "we already made that figure"...
Still, it would be nice to see a repaint...(crap did I just say that!!!) A repaint of the original black uniform tanker but with newer articulation. Black and field grey?
Just my opinion.
