How about repaints of Wave 2?

Post by MandaloreSC » Sun Oct 08, 2006 9:31 am

I'm still looking for some paratroopers/fallschirmjäger from wave 2. I have a complete set of all 12, but I'd love to do some troopbuilding and costumizing with them. From all XD figures the Paratroopers are my favorite wave so far. And I have the feeling I'm not alone with that. When I watch some Ebay auctions, I think there is still a lot of interest in these figures. Essecially the german Fallschirmjäger sell for about 15$ to 20$ each, which is much to expensive for me. Would'nt it not be a good idea for 21st to release a repaint set of wave 2? A set in new colors and maybe with new headsculpts. I would buy them. Would'nt you?

I think the OMG figs are re-paints of the U.S guys with switched head sculps and helmits.

Yeah, I'd buy 'em again! I had the first set, US and Germany, and like an idiot...I sold them...now I want them back. Like you said, they're now selling for $15 to $20 on Ebay, so it looks like a while before I'll get them in my hands again....

I would love some fallschirmjäger since I missed them the first time around. I'm always down for more Germans.

21st Century should do something Hasbro does; re-release their old products in different packaging and charge a dollar mor.
I never thought I'd be saying that.

As long as the re-releases don't lose any of the quality the first releases had.

Thanks guys, I`d love to see these guys repacked, too. In a book I recently saw some Fallschirmjäger in white winter overalls, which looks great. Also there were a lot of different camo patterns available for the "Knochensack", so I think the Fallschirmjäger would be perfect for some repaints. 21st Century Toys could earn some really good money by releasing a new wave of Fallschirmjäger. I dont want to feed those greedy Ebay sellers.

what's "Knochensack"?

Foxholetoys.com has some of these guys around. You can get his loose figs for about $9.99. They're not listed online, but call him up or email him.

Agree with the repaint idea, those boys fought in every climate and theatre for the most part and wore proper colors to suit.

My only beef is that I would hope for some re-tooled helmets more along the BOB I and II quality/fit level.

At least two of the weapons were only issued with the FJ's as far as I know. The Beretta 38A and the FG-42. Be nice to be able to get some of those again.
