Rows from the pics it does not look like the panels move at all. Seems to be the stock body panels from the original.Probaly a cost decision not to retool that part. But im still in for one!
Could not think of anything to put here.

Yeah I think your right, I saved and zoomed in on the pics and it does look like the original body. The Multiple Gun Motor Carriage has always been one of my favorite vehicles/weapon systems so I guess it just sticks out.

I'm not faulting 21st, I understand why they did it the way they did, it's just kind of dissapointing.

The quad .50 turret looks really nice though. I am starting to think that with some razor saw action those panels could be cut and then glued in an open firing position.

As usual Aferg is correct. A large number of White Half-tracks which started life as other versions of the half-track, than the M-16, were converted to M-16 by adding a flat floor that was high enough to allow the guns of the quad mount to fire against ground targets.

Remember, towards the end of WW2 and in the Korean War, these M-16's were used mostly against ground targets.

The converted M-16's, and I assume 21C is usung their M-3 as the base vehicle (like we suffested for the last few years), and the side tops were not able to drop down.

Vehicle is correct as shown, and I love it. I'm nuts about the German tracks also.........great job 21C, thank you..

I agree.. I typically don't collect 1/18 vehicles, but if I see a Stuka Zu Fuss at my local Walmart, its mine...

I wasn't aware of the higher floor. You learn something new everyday on here! All of the variants I've seen in person and built models of had the panels. Very interesting to know. I did know there were used to great effect against the Chinese human wave attacks in Korea.

Thanks for the info, I hope I didn't come across as rude to any of you guys, that wasn't my intention.

BTW checked my local WMs again today and not only do they not have anything new, it seems the same exact merchandise is on the shelves every time I go, I guess it isn't selling well around here. Doesn't look good

On a bright note my TRU remodeled and now has a decent Elite Force section. I picked up two M4A3 Shermans for $35 each and I am very impressed. But I really can't wait to get my hands on those German Halftracks.

That stuka is a solid!

It's almost a shame that the rocket boxes hide that sweet paint job!

I have reserved room for multiples, one with boxes, one naked, others will vary. :-)

Be a great base for an eastern front custom. Add some weathering, a little rust, and you've got a winner with no airbrush.

One of the coolest things about the Stuka Zu Fuss is the fact that all of the rocket cages are removable. Makes for a GREAT new paint scheme for a regular Hanomag. Also there is a little bag of goddies taped to the bottom of the shipping tray. It includes a gas can, crate with opening top, and a case that opens.

Also as you might suspect already, The Rockets come out of the cages and the ones located in the back are larger. Each rocket has the proper paint markings. IT is one tough looking piece of equipment. DO NOT pass this one up when you see it on the shelves! This one is a crowd pleaser!

I am hoping to get pics of my friends Pak-40 And Pioneer Hano later this week!

 the halftracks are only $24?

The fact you can put the rockets on another hanomag is a great feature as there probably weren't any stuka zu fuss's in ambush scheme and even if there might have been the ambush scheme isolates it to a very specific time in wwii, whereas zu fuss's were used for many years throughout the war.

Right on. :)

I know Digger is going to love this, but I found the new halftracks at the Wal Mart in Selma, Ca (the rasin capital of the world) :D

I decided to check the store as I can get there quickly by freeway from Fresno and it can be a sort of wild card as far as what it gets in. I saw the Stuka zu Fuss and Pioneerwagon on the shelf, was elated, but also a little disappointed as I really wanted the M-16. Then I turned around and way up on the top of the shelf behind me was the M-16 and Pak-40 gun! So I grabbed a ladder (no employee was around for miles) got down the vehicles and made out with all four 8)

So, in short, I found only one each of the M-16 gun carriage, Stuka zu Fuss Hannomag, Pioneerwagon, and Pak-40 gun. This new armor is really sweet!

My apologies for the earlier ranting and these must be getting around now in the west if I'm finding them

tman,

That is great to hear! You made me change my lunch plans and I hit Modesto, Ceres and Turlock Walmart. Each had the TOW Mutt, Spec Forces Mutt, and the older variants of the halftracks out. I guess not all Walmarts got the new items when they ordered. I did however see 2 Striped MIGs at Turlock. Its the first time I have seen those out here.

Congratulations, tmanthegreat! If I would live in the USA, I would be on the hunt too. I hope you all can find the XD items you're looking for.

Here's the SKU#s for all four of the vehicles I found:
M-16: 063874810106
Stuka zu Fuss: 063874810108
Pak-40 Gun: 063874810146
Pioneerwagen: 063874810113
(These were the numbers on the bar code on the box & on my reciept.)

I did not find the Hannomag with the mounted Pak-40 like TKO did, and I'm not sure it was part of this particular assortment. 21c may be including some variation. MK, it sounds like you found something, though in the form of the Chinese Mig - glad to see those getting around as well!
